Mpyromaxos Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 Hi guys, this is my new creation! It's my entry to the Colossal Battle Contest V 2017 for the category .CBC V - Dread Ambushers Category I choose to create a great battle from the ancient Hellenic Wars, known as Peloponnesian War. A small force of Spartan army was cutted from their main army of Sparta by Athenian army and their navy on the island of Sphacteria. The Athenian forces manage to land on the island after a surprise attack and forced the Spartans to surrender! It's one of the few times that a Spartan army was surrendered and did not fight until death. I hope you like it! You can see more pictures in my Flickr page! C&C are appreciated Quote

ramar Posted September 7, 2017 Posted September 7, 2017 Great scene management! Lots of figures to combine. I like the landscape too, especially the beach. Quote
Gunman Posted September 7, 2017 Posted September 7, 2017 Awesome work Giorgo, great details all around and great photography too Quote
MAB Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Placement of the boat is perfect. And some nice shields in there too. Quote
Littleworlds Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Utterly stunning landscaping and layout. Very realistic and simply beautiful. I would, however, have built the boat full length. But for what is there - it looks excellent as well. Quote

I me out of reddish brown plate and tiles, and i built the ship last 2 days cause it was last minute idea. my first thought it was to use some plain boats, but i don't like it ver much.. so i built the trireme with the parts that i had available. Vorkosigan Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 Incredible and beautiful MOC! One of the best I've seen. I really love your temples and statues. I'm working on a Rome project but its much simpler than this. Quote

Venefic Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Wow! I think the part that really stands out for me is the boat crashing into the display! There's quite a bit of detail here which I can imagine depicts the scene well. This is really really good work. Quote

I wanted the trireme to enter the stage and it was a really add-on of the last minute! I will make a subject in the future only with trireme with better pictures! I'm glad you liked it! Quote
