Hinckley Posted February 16, 2008 Author Posted February 16, 2008 Awesome! Welcome to the world of Illustrator......and fleshies. Would love to see a photo of the scarf applied and w/ blue minifig hips/legs. If possible, I'd recommend a decal for the hips representing that way cool metallic belt. I think it would add that extra touch. Weapons?-A :-$ Thanks, buddy. Yes, in addition to learning Illustrator, I've starting to appreciate the fleshies. What's ... happening ... to me? :'-( :-P All right, we've had enough requests for it, so here goes-my accessorized Strider: Now with blue pants and Anakin hair... The scarf really hides some of the nice detail of the torso, IMO, so I like him better without it. I may try to make a version that has the shoulder straps visible despite the scarf, but I'll try v.2 later. In the meantime, I think I'm going to tackle that belt and a leg template. If I can make a cool template, we'll have our first EB customs template...I think. 8-| Thanks everybody for the feedback. I really enjoy this customizing thing. It's a fun new way to be creative with LEGO. *sweet* Quote
Brickadier General Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 (edited) Whoa, he looks especially kick-butt now, Hinckley! I wouldn't have thought of the new Anakin hair before, but it works great for this fig. And I think the bandanna looks great, but you could always do a custom face if you still don't like how it covers up some of the torso details. And I found some small images for examples of some Capcom characters that might be interesting to do. Left to right: Chun Li, Blanka, Ryu, Zangief, and Megaman. Siegfried Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 Oh that is just beautiful! *wub* He looks much better with the Anakin hair too. This you really should try to sell! Wow. The detail is amazing. *sweet* I better tweak my entry to increase my chance of winning! X-D (How bad was your old computer?) Quote
Hinckley Posted February 17, 2008 Author Posted February 17, 2008 Thanks guys! Must...make...belt. :-D Brickadier General-Thanks for the new pics. Is that hunched trolly thing really named Blanka? That's great. What if I tackled that one next? 8-| I'm just saying, not making any promises... Sinner-my old PC was pretty slow compared to what was required for Adobe CS2. When Illustrator loads it loads all of the fonts a certain way and my Dell couldn't process that and it wouldn't open the program at all. I made the other torsos in Photoshop and considering it's limitations compared to Illustrator, I'm surprised my torsos turned out as well as they did. But, now I know how to use the anchor tool so it may translate into my Photoshop work as well... Quote

Your red-exoforce hair would probably come quite in handy, and I think you could get away with doing his body in sand green and use of the troll/orc heads from the castle line. All you'd have to really worry about is decals for the torso and maybe the legs. Quote
