As soon as you arrive, make a review.

Ooh, I don’t know if I can do a review!  That’s a lot of pressure; I’ve never done a review for a Lego set before.  I can provide some pics and requested info though.

The US TRU site now has all of the new Elves sets to order!

41193 is also described as an "amazing LEGO® Elves toy for girls and boys" in the product description. It's the only new Elves set described that way, but looking at other sets it looks like similar descriptions have been used for sets in themes like Friends and Ninjago in the past, which is a pleasant surprise!

Does that mean no minidolls?

It should.

Ooh, show us pictures of the tower's interior. We haven't seen it yet, in any official pictures.

I don’t have it yet but I will definitely get pics of it up once I do!

I just went back to TRU and ordered the 2 smallest sets: Emily Jones & The Eagle Getaway and Naida & The Water Turtle Ambush.  Yay!!!

It will certainly be interesting to see what patterns or mosaics people will be able to do with those new diamond shaped "shard" tiles. :classic:

Worth mentioning that it may be trickier than you make it sound since they don't seem to be typical "tiles"—there seems to be a 3.2 mm bar that extends about one plate's depth off the "square" end. Notice how they attach to the animals' heads, or the 1x1 round plates with holes behind them where they attach to the tower...

Really? :sceptic:

Well, I guess that must be necessary for the tile since otherwise it would perhaps have no clutch.

Looks like Bieblin the goblin is a graduate of the music school :pir-wub:

I agree that I would really like to see more in the way of substantial structures, but I love the addition of the light and dark elves, the bats, the weapons, and I really love the clothing design this year - they look ready for battle in a way they haven't before.  Looking forward to collecting this wave.

That’s how I feel about this wave as well.  I have the Goblin King waves spread out together and as a whole, they look spectacular on display with a great mix of structures, landscape, animals, vehicles, etc.  It really looks like a living world.  I hope we get a summer wave to expand on this story a bit more.

Agreed. I'm still mad at myself for missing the first two years, when it was all about structures. Still, last year we got a total of two structures in the first wave, one small and one large-ish, one good and one bad, the squirrel shop and the goblin village. This year, we have Lumia's house (that is her house on the floating island, right? I think it is.) and Nocturna's castle (or the first part of it). Last year, we then got two larger structures, Rosalyn's hideout and Cronen's castle, for the second wave, so hopefully the same trend will follow. Fingers crossed they'll be good ones - and hopefully Sophie will show up, unless she's been written out of year four (which I honestly wouldn't mind - didn't like her much - but the point stands).

I missed year one but have all of year 2 minus the Dragon Sanctuary (which doesn’t look like I’ll ever be getting due to the crazy prices) and the two builds for Ragana’s side are incredible, as is the Secret Marketplace.

Here's to more of year 4!!

I really feel like this theme needs more "classic Elves style" buildings. They seem to have been almost replaced by dragons and vehicles (which I also love but cmon) So, as you can imagine, the music school made me very happy. <3 All I need now is another good guy castle, that hasn't happened since 2015, and since they already put Noctura's tower in the winter wave, then who knows?

On the one hand, the lack of buildings is a bit of a disappointment... but it's perhaps understandable given that from the looks of it a large part of the story doesn't actually take place in Elvendale (note the portals visible in the boxart of many of the sets). And I sort of appreciate the elemental guardian creatures all being available in the initial wave of sets, as opposed to some of them not being available until summer (as with the dragons in the second year of Elves or, for that matter, the dragons from the first year of Ninjago).

I'm still sort of expecting some sort of castle structure that connects to Noctura's Tower in the summer wave, perhaps with low walls that connect to both sides of the tower. Beyond that I'm not sure what to expect. The boxart is not much help in figuring it out—the backdrop for the backs of the boxes is still the same goblin forest map from this year. A new "good guy" castle would be lovely—perhaps it could work in some of more white-heavy color scheme of the music school to help set it apart from Skyra's castle.

The legend of King Arthur with Emily Jones. Or else Emily is a Jedi.
What is certain is that the sword does not appear anywhere in the current sets.
In conclusion a second wave is planned for this summer.

Where did you find this picture? I'm not 100% sure, but the sword looks like it may be using the gems from Marvel superheroes' Infinity War - the gauntlet and gemstones were recently leaked on reddit, and they had more or less the same rectangle shape. They share a similarity with the new Elves crystals in that they are both a gemstone shape with a peg. The Marvel ones look like they might fit in a hair accesory hole.

The blade part has been around for awhile, mostly (if not exclusively) in Nexo Knights, although Emily's is a different color:

Nocturna's staff is made from standard parts, plus the new diadem parts.

Received Noctura’s Tower & the Earth Fox Rescue today.  Will try to post a few initial pics later; hope to start assembling it.  There are 3! instruction books, which is nuts, and a small sticker sheet.

You're right, it's the same part. I hope it comes in trans light blue w/glitter :D

Did anyone manage to buy the wind dragon and fire lion sets?

Three? Seriously? I've never seen a set with three instruction booklets. Usually two max.

Lego 42009 Mobile crane came with five instruction books (I just started building it! :classic:) and I've seen some of the big train sets come with an instruction book for each engine/coach/station  element.

Can't wait to see photos of these new sets - the earth fox and the wind dragon are my favourites based on the pictures I've seen so far, but I think I'll end up collecting all of them like I had to with the five dragons last year.  The only thing I don't like are the spiders, there's something about the new updated piece, I just find them unbearably creepy.

Emily Jones & The Eagle Getaway arrived today and I was able to get that built pretty quickly (still haven’t had enough time to get to Noctura’s set though).  This is a fun little set and will be the perfect intro to someone just getting into the theme.  I’ll create a separate review thread and include some pics.

Here’s a pic from the back of the manual though; a lot of hints at a summer wave!!

Ah. Unfortunately I cannot view Sephron13's images.  I was eagerly waiting to see the review but only photobucket placeholders show up. :hmpf_bad:

But that tree house looks promising. I really hope we get more buildings in the second wave!

I see photobucket placeholders as well, but you can click on them and go to his album.
