DwalinF Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 (edited) Three brave survivors (or maybe not so brave... or maybe not all af them, but nevermind) on the raft escape from ancient beast. After a sea battle with Imperial ship, Harry and Olaf were trap on a raft under leadership of old sea dog Bartholomew Gingerhead. While Harry blowing the sail, and Olaf work with a paddle, fearless captain throws harpoon after harpoon into the monster! It won't eat them! Or?.. Place your bets, Gentlemen! MKJoshA Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 The humor you've incorporated is great! And I love the whale/sea monster! Quote
Trekkie99 Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 Yo! That is epic! The monster looks so evil! Also, I love the scene with the guys trying to get away. And the guy throwing the spear? Perfect pose. Two thumbs up! Quote
Darnok Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 Brilliant! I had a good laugh at the boat scenes, and that monstrous whale is just awesome. Quote
Capn Frank Posted October 15, 2017 Posted October 15, 2017 Great job on the beast. The entire build is really well done. I like the raft too. It looks very haphazard. Quote
kurigan Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 This, is incredible. Sorry I took so long to get around to saying so, but I do love everything about this. The design, the execution, the scenario, it's all just too much fun. Thanks for sharing ! Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted October 27, 2017 Posted October 27, 2017 Drama, excitement, creativity - what else could we wish for? Quote
Anders T Posted October 27, 2017 Posted October 27, 2017 And all that jazz. Just the right balance of lumpiness and elegance in the whale. Oh and the whole layout. Splashing over the top and all. Quote
Professor Thaum Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 (edited) This is awesome ! The monster is really great, especially with the nice touches of the island wiith skeleton and the harpoons sticked in it ! The blowing Harry exceptionnal Edited November 20, 2017 by Professor Thaum Quote
sander1992 Posted December 1, 2017 Posted December 1, 2017 Nice work on the shape of the whale. The idea of an island on the top of it is great. What kind of cloth did you use as sail? Quote

Brick A Dee Brick Posted March 4, 2018 Posted March 4, 2018 (edited) Hello DwalinF, While browsing pirate MOCs, I found your raft escape. It had me laughing straight away. The whimsy, the movement, the humor are all there and make it a great piece. The photography too is used to an amazing effect. I love the shot taken from inside the beast's maw in direction of the raft. Blow, Harry blow indeed, the monster almost gotcha. If I could make a wish, I would request for you to build a follow-up scene, where at least one pirate was swallowed (alive obviously) and could strike a match to show us the inside of the beast. Who knows what our brave pirate would discover there. =) Thank you for sharing this beautiful piece with us. Edited March 4, 2018 by Brick A Dee Brick Quote
