maltik Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 (edited) Hi everyone, here is one of my LEGO creations "Attack on Weathertop" from LotR movie. Hope you'll like it. =) Cheers! Here is size comparsion with original set 9472: Edited October 5, 2017 by maltik Quote
zoth33 Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 This is nicely done. I like the landscaping and the rockwork. The scene looks like the movie. My only criticism is the build should be taller so it is more to scale. ggod job Quote
soccerkid6 Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Instantly recognizable model The landscape works really well, and is different from most with it's use of tiles and almost no studs. Lovely display piece Quote
Eurolock Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Afraid I can't see the images. Perhaps put them on Flickr? Quote

Eurolock Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 Thanks - the images can now be seen! Lots to like here....but I am puzzled as to why you built the ruins of the watchtower as a semi-circle rather than the full circle? Was the intention to do a sort of 'scale-up' of the official 9472? I built a MOC of weathertop about 3 years ago and have never got around to posting pictures (mainly because it was so difficult to photograph). I will try to post something this weekend though... Reasons why I made it semi-circle: 1. In the movie isn't any proper scene which would show "full circle" build 2. If there would be wall also from the front side, it wouldn't look good, because the battle wich is centre of the model would be hidden. 3. Size - "full circe" would need bigger rock = more bricks = more expensive Quote
