Sir Stig Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 (edited) The best thing about being a merchant was returning home to your most valuable assets with reassurance that the trade have gone well, and the family will survive another stormy period (I don't know if it is monsoons, or fall/winters in this region, but whatever the equivalent of that is). Three of the many refurbished residences in Puerto Desafio. I tried to make 3 different styles of buildings (Dutch/spanish, German/Suisse, French/Italian -ish), 3 different roof techniques and some training on groundwork/paths. I am trying to improve my quick build skills for buildings, and my overall groundwork, so C&C welcome :) I'll see if I manage to get some better pictures when it is daylight, and when this flu stops bothering me. I will license as 3 separate small residences (built on one 16x32 and one 16x16 base). Edit. More pictures: Spoiler Edited October 11, 2017 by Sir Stig Quote
Spud The Viking Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 Very nice builds. I like the cobbled walkway and the first two houses on the left are my favourite! The blue roof is very well done. Quote
blackdeathgr Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 Nice and sizable buildings. And different from each other (i.e. no slacking ). I like them! Quote
Capt Wolf Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 I love that you took 3 very different approaches to these 3 residences. Nice job using the plastered brick panes on the middle house. I also like the roof on the house on the right. I'd love to see a clearer picture of the house on the left; that roof is very interesting. Good job! Quote
Darnok Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 (edited) Nice builds indeed, from what I can see so far. Get well soon! If it is not too much hassle: a shot from each side for all three houses would be awesome. Thanks in advance. Edited October 1, 2017 by Drunknok Quote
Bodi Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Nice row of houses, I like the one in the middle, with blue roof. Quote

It is an easy technique, that are quick to build. I will probably use it more in future builds (but in a color I have enough tiles for. Yeah, I try always not to slack, but I also postpone until I don't really have enough time. Glad you like them On 10/1/2017 at 3:57 AM, Capt Wolf said: I love that you took 3 very different approaches to these 3 residences. Nice job using the plastered brick panes on the middle house. It would fit better in Weelond, but I thought Puerto Desafio was going to level up, so it ended up there. I have a lot of brick panes, and try to use them in new ways from time to time. I hope new players that have a few pirate sets see that they are perfectly useable for quick and efficient builds. Picture added, also from the side I did not have enough black slopes for. Thanks in advance. Not hassle at all. I was pressed for time (strange that I always put myself in that situation ) to reach the monthly deadline. The idea behind it is that it is an old flour warehouse that have been repurposed as a residence. Quote
