Siercon and Coral Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 The Kel Corona is a deep space scanning station. Lacking almost completely in both defense and weaponry, it is the definition of a support SHIP. Among other things, it is able to precisely track distant vessels, locate a mass variety of materials and pulses, and amplify ally shields. Also, when in a pinch, the command module can break off and jet the crew to safety. At 110 studs, this is my first entry into the madness of Shiptember. *the inner halo is lined with leds and lights up a light blue* :) here are some detail shots, as well as a video showing the 4 day time lapse of our respective ships side by side :) Quote
GarryTheMinifig Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 (edited) Great colors and shaping, especially around the inside of the ring! Major points for parts that move and separate too, like the command module. Edited October 2, 2017 by GarryTheMinifig Quote
Digger of Bricks Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 YIKES! It's as if Star Trek's Enterprise was beamed into the grid of Tron Legacy! I really like the shaping and style of the ejecting ship up front. Seriously phenomenal work! Quote
Leonardo da Bricki Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 Looks like a Tron Legacy vehicle. The curves are awesome, and the lights make it so much better! Incredible build, especially over 4 days!!! Quote
Digger of Bricks Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Just saw this has been blogged by The Brothers Brick. SHIPtempber is over and it looks like we may have a winner! By the way @Siercon and Coral, do you have any standalone pictures of the ejecting ship up front? Quote
Toastie Posted October 8, 2017 Posted October 8, 2017 This is one beauty of a space ship - very elegant but not "streamlined". The colors are superb. It feels "light" but at the same time powerful and tough. I simply don't know what it is: Ingenious photography or ingenious rendering? Or both and/or Photoshop? The technical preparation of the images alone is incredible. Whatever: It is as if this ship and wormholes, travel at multiple times the speed of light AND do some work, research, mining, taking samples, are just made for each other! Very impressive, with respect to so many things. I do like the other ship in the video also very much - the vertical structure is really elegant and serious at the same time. And the colors are again very well chosen. Congratulations to both of you! Best regards, Thorsten Quote
Digger of Bricks Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 I've always wanted to see the close-up details on this beauty, so I was excited to discover this one interview with@Siercon and Coral by Beyond the Brick at BrickFair Alabama 2018 looking over it in depth! Quote
