Well that pile is nice but .... isn't this topic very very old ?

I'd be interested to hear from a mod or admin what the preference would be. If you want to post on a topic like this, is it a better to revive an old thread, or to start a redundant one?

Fwiw I don't see the problem with reviving pic threads... actually I rather like it, as I probably would have never seen this thread otherwise. As far as my own collection, I'm rebuilding right now, but here's what it looked like last summer.

In my opinion if you have something useful to add to a thread it is fine. *y* 8-|
hehe :-$ ... Sorry about bumping. Didn't really notice the last post *sweet* .

Reviving this thread with new pics is not a problem. If someone just adds "cool" to a 2 year old post, though, I'll invite them to a quick visit to the tiger lair of our local zoo...

Cool Hobbes, thanks for clarifying this! ;-) X-D X-D

Here is my messy (Mainly) SW collection. You can see in the corner a piece of my latest MOC, which I will post pics of later.

...That's all folks, and would you believe it, these photos were taken AFTER I organized my collection. I am desperately short on space so any spare draw, cupboard or table gets filled with Lego!

Hi!

Nice to see a rebel blockade runner with the stickers still intact. Mine looks rather patchy nowadays.

Cool!

What an opportunity. I pay a visit to Vienna once every year, btw. You don't have cuddly bear cubs, do you?

I have managed to infiltrate the livingroom with some LEGO. But my wife has already infiltrated it with her stuff as well, so we are even.

Always *wub* to see your collection!

Reminds me of my own.

Are you not going to have a new space in a near future for your collection,

or am I mistaken?

Thought I read about that some time ago.

Finally had some time to get some snapshots of all my junk. Here's one of them...

More HERE ...once moderated of course ;-)

You may notice that most of what is on display is newer sets...that's because my stuff gets rotated as I build. Most of what I own is in several plastic tubs in that closet behind those boxes of sets I haven't gotten around to building yet deino2.gif

hi!

finally I've found the motivation to take photos of my collection!

Sadly, right after I've got them, my motivation was fading and I only could do this little collage...:

fastallesklein.jpg

I scaled it down, so it kind of fits your screen...

If your're interressted in a larger pic here's your link! ~8MB 3362x3786px

Enjoy!

As of last year, my collection included:

  • Every Technic set from 1977-2007
  • Every Model Team set
  • Every Space set from Futuron-present including all Star Wars
  • A few sculptures
  • A couple of giant "Teknomecha" (4500 pieces each)

In my old house, I had a 24 x 24 foot room above my wood shop just for Lego. But then I moved into town and had no more room. Now, even after adding on a 20 x 10 foot room to my house just for Lego, I only have room for about half. I sold all my Star Wars and will probably sell all my Space.

Here are a couple of photos:

do you have any dust problems, blakbird?

Yes! Dust is the bane of my existence, especially since I am allergic to it. The only effective way I have found to remove dust without taking the sets apart is to use make-up (cosmetic) brushes. But when I do that, I sneeze for the next 3 days.

The Death Star which is suspended from the ceiling with fishing line is impossible to dust. But the real Death Star would be covered with interstellar dust, so I guess it is OK!

May I recommend compressed air canisters? They're usually used for blowing dust off computer parts or as the propellant for airbrushes, but they come with this nice little "drinking straw" that plugs into the hole and can blow air whereever you point it. The ones I have are made by Badger for their airbrushes. Usually run about £2 ($4, €3) per can where I'm from.
