Well, what is the Best Movie you've ever watched? Or the worst?

I wouldn't say something like:

The absolute WORST movie I've ever watched is Barney's episodes 1-4 because it is too babyish.

You should know what cirtain movies are made for (ex. Barney is probally not made for adults, so don't go off saying bad things about it just because it seems stupid.)

So, here goes:

Best movie: Star Wars IV because it kept me on the edge of my seat time after time, no matter how short a time it had been since I had seen it last.

I can't say my worst movie yet, I need to think about it for a while.

Best movie I have ever seen was Last of the Mohicans (1992). The action is great, the story is awesome and the fact that is historical is icing on the cake.

Worst movie I have ever seen was Ghost Rider (2007). Nicholas Cage hasn't really been any decent movies that I have seen (I say that I have seen because there are a lot of his films I have not seen). The visual effects were too over the top and the story was pitiful, as was the acting.

Best is a tie between Alien, Puppet Master, and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. ;-)

Worst might have to be Pumpkin Head. I love horror movies, but it literally put me to sleep! *sing*

*sweet*

My favorite would probably be The LOTR trilogy.

Least fav... hm The Royal Tenenbams, talk about boring...

Best movie: Transformers (1986) (2007). All the action scenes just kept me going. The one thing that ticked me off was the way Jazz died so quickly against Megatron, I Just wanted a second more in the scene(No, I want Two! X-D )

Worst movie: Delta Farce. My brother made me watched it and there was absolutely NO humor in it at all :-X . My brother thought it was hilarious. *sing* And Larry the Cable Guy? A no-go, compadre >:-(

Best movie? A tossup between The Shawshank Redemption, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes (not really, but it is funny :-D ) and Serenity. Oh, and Raiders of the Lost Ark, Original Starwars trilogy, Goldfinger, Dr. No, Casino Royale, Flying High, Schindler's List and a heap of others.

Worst movie ever? A tossup between Date movie, Epic Movie, any Scary movie, Alien vs Predator and a lot of tv movies. And The Benchwarmers, I hate that one. hate. lots of hate. the hate never ends. hate.

Batbrick Away! >:-)

Since I generally love movies, this is hard for me! (But not really! ;-))

Best Movie(s):

Without a doubt, the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy is and will always be my favorite set of movies, and in order, they'd be At World's End, Curse of the Black Pearl, and Dead Man's Chest. Considering that I went from being completely skeptical to being an absolute fanboy of the films, I'd say that they truly are magic. Definitely, the best part of these movies is the characters. We've got loopy but lovable Jack Sparrow, the vile but engaging Barbossa, the heroic Will Turner, and of course, the lovely but fierce Elizabeth Swann, whose transformation from damsel-in-distress to full-fledged pirate (King) is one of the strongest parts of the series. *wub* And there's also Davy Jones. *sweet*

Worst Movie:

Definitely, definitely Eragon. I was pleasantly surprised by the book, I'll admit that I really didn't think I'd enjoy it. Needless to say, I did enjoy it, and was quite excited when I heard about the movie adaptation.

That was, until I actually saw the movie. They really could've made it great, and the result was two hours of emptiness. The main problem was the characters, especially Brom and Arya. Brom looked like an aging father, and Arya? My goodness. I remember in the books that she was described as having tan skin and dark hair, and then in the movies she has porcelain skin and red hair. Another problem was the final battle. It was basically nothing like it was described in the book. I understand straying just a little from the source material to make things fit and because of time constraints, a la Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings, but this movie is just ridiculous. The only redeeming quality about it is Saphira- voiced perfectly by the lovely Rachel Weisz- which was basically the only part of the film nearly perfectly true to the book.

Wow, I don't think I've ever written a post this long. :-$

Actually thanks lego.ryan, you've reminded me of two more:

Best: Pirates of the Caribbean: the curse of the black pearl

Worst: Pirates of the Caribbean: at world's end, it totally undid everything the first movie did, while offering no more originality or humour that was so evident in part 1.

Batbrick Away! >:-)

Wow , that's kind of a tough choice for me as in reality some of the best movies i have seen are almost some of the worst - i love 'B' movies and made for tv movies. in fact i tend to choose movies by looking in the tv guide and if it has a 4 or 5 star review i generally give it a miss and if it only has 1 star i will probably watch it !

But if i had to make a choice from 'proper films' i guess the best would probably be out of Star wars original trilogy, die hard (all of them), batman begins, shawshank redemption or green mile maybe

Worst would possibly be Lotr (all of them), Star wars (the other 3), shaun of the dead and most of the Big films that the reviewers hype up as fantastic.

Best Movie(s)- LOTR trilogy (mainly the third one), Batman Begins, Batman Returns, Mask of the Phantasm, and Transformers.

Worst Movie(s)- Spiderman 3, Ghost Rider, The Wicker Man.

I cannot describe how much I hated Spiderman 3. It made me physically sick watching it, especially after watching the last one. Ghost Rider and The Wicker Man were just because Nicolas Cage is a horrible actor, or at least he was in those movies.

Geeh, though I've seen many, many movies at the tnder age of 16 the two that stand out most and the best are without a doubt

- Shichinin no Samurai (The Seven Samurai) by Akira Kurosawa,

- Letters from Iwo Jima by Clint Eastwood,

- Tora Tora Tora by Richard Fleiser, Akira Kurosawa and Kinji Fukasaku

- Master and Commander by Peter Weir

It is probably no coincidence three of those star Japanese people. :-D :-P I do not hide my affinity for the country and the people despite what some might say or think. Though I really can't choose between those four movies 8-| .

As for the worst, well I have to hand it to Michael Bay, he succeeded where I thought no man could go further! Here I thought Titanic was the lowest human film history could get until I saw Pearl Harbor. That man somehow managed to push the envelope even further. The only thing those movies are good for is for taking the mick out of them. They suck for too many reasons to name! *sing*

I do not have a favorite but I do have a least favorite. Disney's High School Musical. Most of my hatred for it does not come from the movie itself but from the excessive merchandising and hype. Almost every high school in the area that I live in has done a stage version of it. There is almost as much space for High School Musial Barbies as there is for LEGOs or board games at the Targe I shop at. At my sister's 50's themed dance they played two or three Elvis songs before going to Hannah Montanna and High School Musical. I want to stab a pencil through my ears whenever my sister watches TV because Disney Channel won't shut up about it! God, how I hate that film. >:-(

Favorite movie: Evil Dead 2

Least favorite movie: Manos: Hands of Fate (Even Mystery Science Theatre 3000 couldn't make this one entertaining)

I have to say that Transformers would be a close second best for me, the action was... *wub*

Also, I have to agree with filefolders on High School Musical, it gets pretty boring after your sister makes you mwatch it ten times...

Worst -

Battlefield Earth

Redline

The Avengers

Anything with Paris Hilton - Pledge This, The Hottie & Nottie

In my opinion the best *y* movies are:

Gattaca, The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, Dances with Wolves

And the worst *n* movies:

Well, there are millions of them. I've defintely seen too many of them. But sometimes they are so bad that they amuse me endlessly. So sometimes I like 3rd class science fiction just for the bad special effects and even worse acting. I find them hilarious! But I really can't watch Bollywood movies! I get headaches from them!

Sheesh, what a loaded question.... okay, let me try this:

Best Movies: Starwars Episode V, Back to the Future Part III, Batman Begins, Spiderman 1-3, Chicken Run, Ratatoullie, The Incredibles, National Treasure, and Toy Story 2.

Worst Movies: Hm, dunno, I haven't actually watched that many movies that I haven't at least liked, mainly because I read non-spoiler reviews before I watch movies. Don't want to waste money you know... Eh, but I can say at least one for sure: Spy Kids 3D. Yeah, when I was younger I loved it, but now I see what a bore and cheesefest the movie is. The first two in the series were good, but it seems like the 3-D aspect sapped any actual enjoyment out of the third. Combined with awful puns, bad dialogue, and cheesy CGI, it's just totally lame. |-/
