Micah is in his office in Elizabethville, where he has been residing since his expedition to Cascadia. Recently, he received a letter from Rear Admiral Fletcher regarding some news personally affecting Micah. Micah felt it necessitated a reply.

To her Royal Majesty, Queen Annetta, Sovereign of Corrington, Balondia, and Her Majesty's Colonies, and to Rear-admiral S. Fletcher in her majesty's service.

My father, Lord Alexander, was granted his rank and lands from the crown due to his heroic actions and valiant service to the crown during the 49 Years War. I have longed desired and strived to serve my country with as much vigilance and honor as he had. I am profoundly humbled that her Majesty and her officials think so highly of the services I have thus far rendered to the crown by bestowing the title of Knight of the Order of the Compass Rose. I intend to not falter in my efforts to serve her Majesty, and look forward to many years of faithful service should I be granted them.

Long live the Queen,

Sir Micah of Wolfhaven
Owner of Wolf's Equine, Trade, and Expedition Company

He also was writing a letter to his business partner Arthur Kellogg in Arlinsport.

Dear Mr. Kellogg,

I hope this letter finds you well and business continuing to improve. Based on the extensive amount of work to be done here in Elizabethville, and the massive amounts of new land to be explored to the East, including Cascadia, Celestia, and the surrounding isles, I will not be returning to Arlinsport for quite a few months. As I know you have extensive oversight of all our shipping, I feel my presence will not be detrimental to the company. You do have Charles there to aid you in any matter regarding the raising and pricing of the steeds sold from Arlinsport. I do want to remind you to put pressure on the shipwrights to finish refitting our three ships we have in dock plus the ship we committed to fund for the crown. Though I know that they have many ships to make and repair, I feel they are taking entirely too long to put our ships under sail. I hear that there will be a massive push in the upcoming months to trade between the various ports now that war has subsided in the eastern seas. We must press to have all our resources available to profit from this opportunity. I encourage you to make a visit to the headquarters of the East Terran Trade Company, which my estate is a member of, and ask for their help in pressuring any shipwrights who are uncooperative at refitting the ships we have in repair. Speak to the manager at the ETTC headquarters, Mr. Bartholomew Antonius.

Greet your wife and children for myself and Elizabeth. Hansa and his lovely bride, Kahente, also wish to say hello and often ask about you, as is their manner.

Yours truly,

Sir Micah of Wolfhaven

OOC: This build is serving the two fold purpose of in-character acknowledging my promotion in Corrington, and to increase my ship level maximum. It also leads into my next build posted here.

So much being posted over the last couple days - I guess it might have something to do with the new MRCA :pir-laugh:

Great story and all - but my favorite has to be the chair. Simple, but very effective build. The desk is also cool, but I'm wondering what those golden swirly pieces are about?

OOC: are you ever going to build the artisan where you got those glasses? Your character seems to be the only one around who is wearing glasses, and yet they certainly existed during the equivalent of the timeframe we are playing here.

A very nice and elegant desk, and I really like the use of a Nexo Knights shield tile as the back of a chair!

Who cares?  They're golden, and they're swirly... they're good! :pir-laugh:

I have wanted to use the Nexo shield for a chair, and my first plan ended up being too tall, so this was attempt two. The golden swirly pieces were to help fancy up the desk and break up the blockiness of a desk.
Hmm. I have never considered doing a glasses artisan. The artisan is a good idea though. I probably shouldn't have chosen glasses for my sig fig but I was attempting to be a tad realistic to the real self.

That is one very nice looking desk! The ink well is clever as well, NPU.

@Legostone/ @Kai NRG I believe it is 20310 Brick 1x1 modified with scroll

Thank you Ayrlego. The piece usage was inspired by Bregir who I believe said he got it out of an official set. You are correct on what piece I used for the gold swirl.
