Ras 74 Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Very nice classic town feeling to your layout. Enjoyed to follow "you" arround the city. Nice and original idea for sure!! -Ras- Quote
SalvoBrick Posted March 7, 2008 Author Posted March 7, 2008 (edited) Very wonderful, I'd love to see that cargo train. Here's a picture: And here's the LDD version I did before building the real thing, just to be sure I can use only the bricks in the set http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/legomane.../10183_mod1.jpg Edited March 7, 2008 by SalvoBrick Quote
Nebsirob Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Wow, I love your city! Great job, SalvoBrick. *y* There are so many nice details, such as the backyard with the playing kids, or the robbery. I especially like all the custom shops, you created. Thank you for the tour. Now I wish, I had enough space to finally build a city of my own. |-/ Quote
SalvoBrick Posted March 21, 2008 Author Posted March 21, 2008 Finally I've moved my town to its definitive location. Now there is more space around it, and it isn't under direct sun light. casewindu Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 that a very good new position salvobrick I probably wouldnt have a train around it mind, I feel it takes up to much space. I realize that many like trains being in their towns and I'm not complaining yours looks fantastic! :'-) Is their any more plans for new structures? Im making my police station at the moment Quote
Stealth Hunter Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 A wonderful city,Salvobrick! I *wub* the buildings and all those little details like the custom stickers and the ATM. Quote
goggleson Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 *wub* Very nice town you've got there! Very europe. Is that spanish on the signs? Quote
Zarkan Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 Wonderful city, SalvoBrick, especially considering that its much harder to make a large layout from scratch than to just mostly use official sets. It seems that the only thing that isn't original is the construction vehicles and some of the trains. Very impressive! *y* Plus, your building and vehicle designs are awesome, combining the detailed feel of the Cafe Corner series with the simplicity and compactness of classic town. I think this may be one of the best town layouts I've ever seen. ;-) Quote
Stealth Hunter Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 *wub* Very nice town you've got there! Very europe. Is that spanish on the signs? Since he´s from Italy I think it´s Italian. *y* Quote
SalvoBrick Posted April 7, 2008 Author Posted April 7, 2008 A few updates of my town: vehicles and buildings. A quad made of leftovers A yellow version of the car designed by PaulC :-) A power distribution station for the whole town A small fire station Quote
Asuka Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 Very cool, SalvoBrick, these vehicles´re sweet and your power distribution station looks wonderful, very detailed and in a cool color scheme. That little fire station looks plain marvelous too, a very charming work indeed! :'-) Quote
SalvoBrick Posted April 15, 2008 Author Posted April 15, 2008 More updates: vehicles and scenes: a forklift. I didn't used the ready-made forklift piece, but a personal solution Today the bank receives a lot of money... updated construction site. Quote
Asuka Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Great, that construction site looks plain charming and your vehicles´re simply sweet in a neat size, I especially like that cool forklift. Quote
WhiteFang Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 I love your city very very much! The new additions are fananstic!!! Love the construction site and the yellow car very much. Simple but yet nice! A classic look Quote
alex54 Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 SalvoBrick, I like the way you build your own versions of sets and/or part of sets, like that nice forklift! Your own building piece is very well done, great work! The power distribution station is really nice too, with nice details for the outdoor part of the machine. It's always a pleasur to see your work, and that give some nice idea! Quote
xzanfr Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 Hello, SalvoBrick. Thats an impressive layout you have there. I really like the small details that you've added, it must be hard for them not to be lost in such a big setup. In particular, the ATM and the power distribution building really add to the feel of the town. Have you used a specific Italian transport font for the road signs? (I've recently found and used the U.K. road sign font and wondered if you've got the Italian one). Quote
SalvoBrick Posted April 16, 2008 Author Posted April 16, 2008 Thank you everybody for all the interest. It's very flattering for me to know that my MOCs are source of inspiration for other people. Have you used a specific Italian transport font for the road signs? (I've recently found and used the U.K. road sign font and wondered if you've got the Italian one). Uhm no, I've used some standard font, Arial maybe Quote
hollisbrick Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Woah that is one of the coolest towns i've ever seen I would so live here if I was a lego dude! You have done a great job Quote

Stealth Hunter Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 I like the new buildings and vehicles, especially the power distribution station. I migth have to try and build something like that. Quote
KDog Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 This is all great, but I have to give a special cheer for that awesome gumball machine. Ingenious! Quote
