Count Blockula's got some great videos from Toy Fair here:

http://countblockula.com/fbtb/toyfair/2008/vids.htm

There's lots of great functions such as the convertible car's roof, the ferry opening, the spinning blades on the Jungle Cutter, the V-19 Torrent wing/landing gear mechanism, etc.

It's not working for me!

Because I can't play mp4!

som one youtube vers?

*y* I mentioned in our Toy Fair 2008 LEGO threads over at the From Bricks To Bothans forums that I'd be happy to YouTube our videos if people needed me to, so that's no problem at all -- I'll get right on it. I'll post back when they're ready. *sweet*

This year, Lego is making me very very poor......

Amazing sets for this year!! Despite some of the Agents sets and the out-of-scale cars of the City sets, there are very very promising and must-have sets!!

wow...the AT-TE is fantastic as well as the gunship. i like how the doors open so realistically. and the legs are so posable for the AT-TE. everything was so well thought out. the AT-TE cockpit, the container. etc.

the indy jones temple is also well built. so many traps and features. wow....and to squeeze everything into that set. wow...jungle cutter that cuts. 8-

Nice to see some of the moving bits, so thanks Count Blockula.

The flick-fire bazooka is kind of cute, and the Indy temple set seems to have a seemingly endless number of moving bits. I guess it all adds to the playability.

I like the addition of the 'handle' on the AT-TE. Finally, TLC are giving us something to make sure we don't drop the bigger sets in our collection :-D .

That Batman Begins torso (I guess) looks really pretty cool.... could be useful for

futuristic warfare suits too, beside the batlogo that is.... 8-| :'-)

Nice photo. Thanks for that.

Looks fairly "armored" ala the Green Goblin suit from Spidey sets.

DAMN! That Torrent is really not exactly the most interesting SW-vehicle, but its smooth automatic Wing fold-out function is just SOOO SWEET! :'-) I don't know how long I'll be able to resist the urge to put it on my Lego Fall Shopping List! |-/

Also, did you see that detachable seat row in the AT-TE? Seriously, the fact that we don't get any clones to seat in their is megablocks too bad! |-/ If there aint gonna be any BPs with EP II clones, I would be really pissed disappointed! :-P

Nah, it's all good. I don't care really; I'm just happy that we get such a nice AT-TE. ;-)

All of these sets have such neat functions *wub* The V-19's transforming wings are great, as are the little rooms that come out of the AT-TE and RGS. The Jungle cutter is great, I love the rotating blades and explosion on the vehicle from the flickfire ( *wub* ) bazooka. The breakable table is nice, and the Temple.. *wub* The collapsing stairs, rotating stairs, and skellie-alien merry go ride is great! Looking forward to these sets alot more now *sweet*

I absolutely love that little detail myself. The collapsible handle is one of my favorite features of the motorized AT-AT, I'm glad to see the idea has carried over to another set *wub*

Not sure if this was a rumor or just "common sense" before ToyFair, but it has been reported that there are definitely no new Lego Sets coming for the last 2 Harry Potter movies. I just read it yesterday...In the words of the Sleuth, "Harry Potter has gotten too dark for Lego."

Something I (and others) figured after only having a castle set last year, but its a bummer to see it in print.

*sing* NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :'-(

I'm a big Potter fan, and Lego Harry Potter was one of the cutest lines ever! But, admittably, as the books/movies proceed and the stories get better, they also do get very dark (which is what makes them so cool ;-) ). Well, let us salute then a great line! *sad*

BTW did anyone notice that theres a new hinge like peice in the coast guard helicopter?
Its on the life raft thing

X-O Oh! Now I see it! It's like that 1x2 plate with the handle bar on it that we've been getting in Creator sets and such throughout the last year, only now with the handle on the one-stud wide side of the plate! 8-

I wouldnt call it "cute", but it is a sad loss. Harry Potter is what drew me into LEGO.

I offer all of you my condolences in this tragic time... >:-( :-( :-/ ;-) :-) :-D
