ChrisF2006 Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 (edited) "Builder Kits" that would consist of just figures? Like I have long wanted to increase my number of police and firefighters but in order to do so I have to either go to one of the minifig sale websites or buy another police car, firetruck, etc. So I was thinking why dont they just release something like this: Regular Police: - 4 regular officers with 4 white peaked caps, 4 plain white baseball caps and 4 assorted hairpeices. Motorcycle/Horse/Tactical Police: - 4 officers in the leather jacket uniform with 4 white helmets, 4 plain white baseball caps and 4 assorted hairpeices. Firefighters: - 4 firefighters with 4 white fire helmets, 4 plain white baseball caps and 4 assorted hairpeices. ditto for EMTs, doctors, etc Then maybe a special police accessories kit with radios, handcuffs, traffic wands, etc and a fire accessories kit with radios, breathing gear and air tanks, fire extinguishers, axes and other rescue gear, gray suitcases with a red cross on it to simulate first aid kit, etc Maybe we could even get Brickarms into the deal to release a special police weapons package that would come with some Colt .45s (being that it could stand for any semi auto pistol), and random assortments of M4s, shotguns and MP5s. Maybe they could also produce some riot gear like batons, tear gas grenade launchers (an M79 would do), etc. Edited February 16, 2008 by ChrisF2006 Quote
blueandwhite Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 The obvious reason of course is that they want you to purchase sets; not just minifigs. Of course, if the castle battle pack is any indicator, perhaps we'll see a few more minifig packs in the future. Quote

Toa_Of_Justice Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 (edited) For the police officers and firefighters, may I recommend 5612 and 5613? You get one figure plus accessories in each set. I hope this helps. -Toa Of Justice Edited February 16, 2008 by Toa_Of_Justice Quote
Brickadier General Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 That's funny, I thought everybody complained about having too many Police and Fire Fighters. ;-) I don't know if they'll be doing those town minifig packs ever again, but at Lego.com you can get that big lot of town minifigs for around $40 (if you don't know about it already, that is). Siegfried Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 I'm growing tired of people who create topics with vague titles just to get more page views. Please don't do this again. On topic, personally I think Lego give out enough mini-figs these days. I wouldn't be for buying a set as you describe. I was all for the "Community Workers" set, but after a while I realised that I have more than enough generic mini-figs already. Now if Lego brought out a set with just females, that I would buy. *wub* Quote
legoman94 Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 I have too many firefighters and enough police men and there also making those mini sets. Quote
Shadows Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 Now if Lego brought out a set with just females, that I would buy. *wub* Or at least an all civilian set. A few new suits, some new female torsos and heads, all of the varieties of hair, a few new colours of short legs for kids, couple of dogs, a stroller, some bikes, Indy's man-bag, food, crates, some small assemblies like a park bench or mailbox. That would be a dream come true in a city minifig set. *sweet* Quote
