RebelRock Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 Here's a little number I cooked up over the past few days. After all that rock, I really didn't feel like connecting 4000 1x2 bricks for the water so I just used a sheet of plastic. I hope you can forgive me. Not to much minifig action in this 'cause I blew my imagination on the castle. :-P Man, it is hard to take pictures of big models. Annoying to say the least. I had to drag this sucker outside to get enough light and then the sun went into hiding. |-/ Nevertheless, this is probably one of the coolest things I've built. :-) Thumbnail is gallery when public. Siegfried Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 You make such beautiful MOCs. *wub* Thanks for taking the time to share this one with us. Past few days?! 8- Quote
Inertia Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 Wow, that is really great, keep up your great MOCing skills! Quote
iamded Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 Whoa! So much... greatness! The architecture and design and drawbridge and scenery! That's fantastic! Another great MOC, RebelRock! *y* *y* ~Peace Quote
Hinckley Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 It's absolutely amazing! It's such a great and creative little world you've made. Blue plastic On, BTW. Using that in lieu of 1x2 blue bricks will save you quite a bit of much needed LEGO funds. Aside from the architecture which I think is outstanding, I really like your landscaping. The rocks and vegetation look very close to being organic. Some builders have a knack for creating good hillsides and others don't, but I think you have a very effective technique. Altogether excellent job! Thanks for sharing it with us and I'm glad you've joined our little community. I certainly look forward to seeing more from you. *sweet* Quote
Vimes Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 Beautiful and elegant! I envy your talent. Your MOCs are masterpieces. Great storytelling, too! *y* Quote
goggleson Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 Very impressive, I particularly liked the bridge and the telescope. Nice build! *knight* Quote
Sir Dillon Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 Gorgeous! *wub* I really like the structure of this one, especially the high up drawbridge. The use of 1 x 1 cylinders and all those arches looks great, and reminds me a little of Darkspawn's creations. All of your windows cool, especially the ones in the roofs. The use of slopes in the landscape turned out very nicely I think, and like Hinckley said, everything looks very organic. The reddish plates around bottom is a neat touch. I also like your trees, which is something that could have been easily overlooked in such an impressive creation. *y* I think you should try an interior sometime. Quote
Starwars4J Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 Awesome, RebelRock. Your castle creations never cease to amaze me. That style of rock has always been hit or miss with me, but you make it work. I just wish I had that many slopes :'-( I can always look forward to a treat when you make a topic Quote
