First of all, great job all around, it looks amazing!

I hope this is not really a spoiler but in the movie, their front leg can be spaced further apart outward, emphasizing the gorilla look.

Are you planning on modifying your model so it can be posed as such? I think that some sort of round hinge at the "shoulders" and "feet" should do the trick. I don't know about how it might affect its stability though.

I can't wait to see pictures of the real life version

I don't seen movie yet, tommorow, in my birthday in Imax 3D :classic:

...I heard about one function with legs,  I'm afraid it can be difficult, and impossible.

I did not think about it yet, lego will release the set 75201 FO AT-ST, but something is wrong with them

At the moment I have ordered about 2144 parts, from 75189 I will use +/- 800, so I still need only 1200!

Hope you have a good birthday and enjoy the movie spoiler free! The atm6 doesn't really do anything special with it's legs other than move a bit more animal like which we can't expect much from Lego. It's scale is absurd as it towers the ATAT (it's head is as big as the AT AT body!)

Let us know what you think of the movie and if you'll be doing any design changes :)

I've been amassing the parts to build that amazing zeta class cargo shuttle, but after seeing TLJ and the latest renders, I'm thinking all that dbg is going to get repurposed! I have the official set as well, so I'll hopefully already have a lot of the bricks needed. I'm also keeping a keen eye on solid brix studio to see how his build goes!

Hi!

I've seen the Last Jedi, great movie :)

SPOILER!!!

.

.

.

If you watched The Last Jedi, maybe you seen new little function of front legs of AT-M6 - a possibility to put them to side. I try do something like that, but this is very hard, and I don't know if I can do this :)

Hey,

Glad you enjoyed it and had a good birthday!

As I've told you before, the canisters at the back are deployable mines, so they go on a conveyor and fall down.

I don't think that extra shoulder movement is all that important, I'm sure some ball joints with friction pieces would help but the body would be too heavy to hold still, I'd recommend just building your first iteration for now before going for a leg redesign for something small.

I do want to build this with you btw, so whenever you release instructions ill take down my lego atm6 and modify it to your plus size one. I'm guessing the visual dictionary may have more pics of the ATM6 and it's cross sections?

What are the limitations around the shoulder joint?

I could perhaps try to come up with a design if you give us a few more pictures of the shoulder Technic parts. Just so you don't have to change too many things.

Also, if you know what weight the shoulder would have to carry, that could be useful.

Thanks @SCREDEYE :classic:

Yes, I know about the canisters but don't seen this in movie :)

My AT-M6 is definitly to heavy for some ball joints, if I want do this, should build my own method. But like I said, maybe it isn't important to this model.

Central part, under the armor is very complicated and top secret , and probably need few little changes.

@Cypirate

Probably I'll build my first version, and after that I try to do modification of legs, in LDD it's very hard.  Changes require "hip joint" and also "ankle"  We will see...

I was actually surprised by the crait scenes! I'm just a bit disappointed that we didnt get to see those junk crait speeder in action, I was really hoping the ATM6 would be taken down with the mines on it's back. Maybe a bit of rubber connectors or those pieces that they use on large figs for articulation may help but they definitely cant stand heavy weight.

You have no idea how badly I want to see your finished design. If you need help, I can definitely take a look at your models internal structure as I am an engineer :'D

At the beginning of January I will buy 75189, which will give about 800 bricks.

According to the official visual dictionary, the things we all assumed were mines are actually the power cells for the M6 cannon. I'll take a photo of the page when I get home.

Yeah I picked up the cross section book too while I was on vacation. I was gonna let the op know once I got back to work but cheers for pointing it out before me. It also has three levels and shows the atm6 pilots working on maintenance on the top floor so interiors could also be different with pipe pieces and some consoles

Oh my word this is amazing. Are your plans for sale yet?
I just bought 4 x Defence of Crait sets with the speeders and I want to build the whole scene, and then I came across this MOC - fantastic work!

I'll watch eagerly for updates!

Let's get started!

Step 1 - back legs

I added a few modifications, the leg is almost ready (on 99%) there will be a few more parts :classic:

At the same time, I'm building in LDD to avoid mistakes.

How it looks?

are you using similar techniques to the normal set or does the design need to be completely changed due to weight?

The weight is a big unknown, I hope legs will be okThe technique is similar like PlusSize AT-AT, with a few modifications.

I think it looks great, very similar to the plus size ATAT. The forelegs should be able to accommodate most of the weight since they have a wider surface area. Are the feet designed like the lego models or like the plus size ATAT as the "toes" are different from both versions. If you don't have a picture of the cross section page I'll be happy to email you one

Thanks @SCREDEYE :) Yes, looks very similar, something like PlusSize AT-AT Raskolnikov. Front legs are different, and I add few MODs and new functions.

I don't have picture of cross section, please put picture on this topic :)

Best I could find while at work, don't own the book yet as I want to own a book that has a compilation of all crosssections from the Disney EU

Wow, which book is this?

Incredible Cross Sections for the Last Jedi. All of the cross section books are fantastic, couldn't recommend them enough!
