I've been searching for a lego technic commercial from years ago, I'm not sure exactly when it was shown (in the UK, maybe other countries) but it is was awesome. I believe it might have been called Lego Technic Security System and featured a boy going into a room and setting off loads of technic robots and models all automatically. It's a really cool advert. Anyone remember it? Any got it? I've looked everywhere, no mention it of it either. Nothing on YouTube :( Quote

I have been looking for it for a while, and just stumbled onto these forums where it appears you guys are talking about the same commercial. But I was too late and the link is gone now :( Is there any chance anyone could post a new link to it? Maybe upload it to Youtube for others to see, or anywhere else? But believe it or not, that's actually not the ad I was thinking of! The ad I remember (keep in mind I'm in Australia) was either a Lego ad, or it may just have been an ad for something else that made use of lego. Either way, what I remember is this: It shows a boy in his bedroom, and perhaps he's being tucked in for the night by someone and saying goodnight. He might be in the top bunk of a double bunk bed. But for some reason (I can't remember) he starts off a series of connected toys that perform some sort of automatic service....maybe turning a light off? Or bringing food? I just can't remember. But there was definitely Lego involved, and from his bed he was able to flick a switch and just watch the toys make it all happen. As I say, it might not have been specifically a Lego ad. Maybe an ad for K-Mart or someone? I just can't remember. All I know was that it screened in the late 80s in Australia, and always had me transfixed when it came on the TV. The boy closes his book and puts it on a LEGO platform at the side of his bed. The contraption then starts moving (ingeniously) until it finally flips the lightswitch on the other side of the room. Anyone remember it? Any got it? I've looked everywhere, no mention it of it either. Nothing on YouTube :( I've been lookin for the ad from 1992 of the 8868 air tech claw rig. I can vaugley remember it sort of building itself and it also had the 8836 sky ranger i think but i'm not sure. At the end the 8868 crane arm moved the technic logo into place and a voice-over said "lego technic....the dynamics of mechanics!" Anyone remember it or know where I can find it? Quote
