KDog Posted June 3, 2008 Author Posted June 3, 2008 EDIT: I decided to rewrite the text in the last panel, since I don't think I made my intent clear in the original version. Drunk Duck has a glitch right now where you can't replace image files without deleting the old page and making a new one, so the 50th comic can now be seen here: http://www.drunkduck.com/Lego_Space/?p=412782 Quote
Clonecommando007 Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Heh heh that's hilarious! Great job again Kdog! Quote

Its quite obvious the Alien Moon Stalker designers did watch a little Empire Strikes Back while developing that set. Quote
zero1312 Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 I agree to Schwartz, I haven't seen this before too. Quote
Adam Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 HAHAHAHA!!!! *Rolls over laughing* Great *Can't stop laug hing* comics, KDog! I can't stop laughing at the "Kitty Moon Walker" thingy, man tha- *Oh man, can he stop laughing at all of KDog's funny comics?!* Quote
Batbrick Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 HAHAHAHA!!!! *Rolls over laughing*Great *Can't stop laug hing* comics, KDog! I can't stop laughing at the "Kitty Moon Walker" thingy, man tha- *Oh man, can he stop laughing at all of KDog's funny comics?!* I'll have to concur here, I just plain did not see that coming! It was so absurd I couldn't stop grinning, when the stalker said "Meow" I kept imagining this really robotic voice like "Mee--Ow!" I noticed the reflection too, but I must say it isn't as bad as your strip comments say it is. oh, and the computer background looked great on this one. Though, I am still a naysayer of nuking the fridge, I love that the two of them are sitting in the crater holes. Batbrick Away! Quote
Darth_Legois Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 I like this bit "Lance what happened?, what are we doing here!? Lance:I'm not sure but i seem to recall something about a rocket engine being strapped to a wheelbarrow and riding in it!" LOL Thats so funny and when that stalker said "Meow" that was SO FUNNY Good Job Quote
iamded Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Well, I just caught up on about 20 comics, which were all great! I think it was from the M-tron Bar Fight where I continued from. Awesome comics, K-Dog, keep it up! ~Peace Quote
Inertia Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 Hilarious comic, I like the part with the Alien Moon stalker, I didn't know that they had LEGO mechs before Exoforce... Great! Quote
DJ Force Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha That´s a great one! Quote
KDog Posted June 9, 2008 Author Posted June 9, 2008 Another classic Space set gets its introduction proper in today's comic. Crossing Paths (Part 2): http://drunkduck.com/Lego_Space/index.php?p=415399 Quote
Inertia Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Lol, the ATV did seem a little strange, Valkyrie is up to her usual thievery, and the Space Agency is fooling around again... Great Comic. Quote
KDog Posted June 9, 2008 Author Posted June 9, 2008 Inertia (and others), let me ask you something. I might need to fix a panel in today's comic, because I'm not sure how confusing it was. I was meaning to show Commander Valkyrie stealing the old mobile lab in flashback, which happened in the DACTA storyline. I thought it was clear through the dialog that it was a flashback, but a poster in another forum told me it was a tad confusing since it looked like that was happening in the present. He suggested making that panel black and white, which I might do. It just means deleting the current page and replacing it with the corrected comic, as there's that glitch I mentioned on the host site where you can't update a new image without redoing the whole page it's on. So, was it confusing? :) Quote
Batbrick Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Very sorry! I missed this one! Anyway, I really like this one (as usual), the making fun of the stranger side of space is a very good direction to go, I especially remember the rather low ATV being mentioned before. The sheer randomness of the first part is my favourite though, castles in space. I don't know if that will be a plotline, but the guy's monologue cracks me up. Adam Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 I understood it, but I agree with Batbrick; it might be less confusing to others if it was in black and white. I remember you made some other flashbacks black and white, like the one when the Gemini twins were learning about Dash's escape. I think the main problem was that it looked like the panel was on the same moon (which it may have been), which may have bewildered others. Another good one ! Quote

By the way, I picked up an Allied Avenger, Gamma V and a Star Defender 200, I'll post reviews soon, is it okay if I mention your comic? I'm still trying to find an AERO-Module... Quote

I'm still trying to find an AERO-Module... Awesome! So you now have your very own Schwartz, Gemini twins and Lt. Verwaand figures! ;-) Check Bricklink for the AERO-Module. I just looked and there's several of that set for sale. There's even a complete set for under $10 (not including shipping). It can generally be easily had for under $20; not one of the more sought after, rarer models, I guess. Those prices are America dollars; just wanted to give you an idea of the cost. I really look forward to your reviews, and I'm always happy to have my comic mentioned. :) BTW, I apologize that updates are running a little slow this week. I'll likely get them up on Friday and Saturday. In my free time yesterday, I ended up writing the scripts for the next three weeks and plotting out some basics for the next several storylines after that. I'm finally getting to the point where some of the big story events I've had planned for some time for this "season" of comics are coming to fruition. Keep your eye out for some characters you haven't seen for awhile and have asked for, in situations you probably did not expect them in. ;-) Edited June 12, 2008 by KDog Quote
CP5670 Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 This Alien Moon Stalker crew seems to be just as crazy as Schwartz. Nice to see that ATV joke I pointed out a while ago. I guess it can't even go over a single plate, so you can forget about the craters. The Aero Module has always been in pretty low demand considering its age. I remember I got mine for $10 MISB off ebay and I was the only bidder on that one, although that was a few years ago. If nothing else, it does have a number of rare parts like the big panel. Quote

As for the Figures, I'm genuinely only getting them because of the comic, I just love the designs of the Space sets, which I prefer to the MM line out at the moment. Maybe there will be Blacktron III and Space Police III?, that'd be pretty awesome... Quote

Oh, that was you suggested the ATV joke, CP! Thanks! It was awhile back and I couldn't recall who said it, and I was too lazy to check back. :) I think that outside of the Monorail and the Stardefender 200, the Futuron stuff is in pretty low demand. Not sure why. I always loved the theme, although I do have to admit that as cool as the new minifigs and colors were, the ships weren't as appealing as some of the stuff in Classic Space. Inertia, I'm happy to have played a part in reviving your love of space. I enjoyed your Sub-Orbital Guardian review; it's funny, because I totally forgot that set existed. Looks like a space helicopter. I hope Blacktron and Space Police get revived, although I think that kind of happened with Star Justice and Space Skulls. Star Justice, at least, is very much like the newest version of Space Police. Quote
