That's it, I hereby declare that the Knights of Awesome MUST make an appearance, either as a still-existing group that is constantly vigil for the return of the dragons or simply in a flashback, but it must hpapen!

Another great installment KDog (though Date Night is totally next), and I only just got the reference; "Alas poor Yorick, I knew him"

I wonder if the dragon will mistake them for knights when they come back with guns

Nice work on the iambic pentameter!

There are a couple of one-shots after this story, and then Date Night will make its return. My girlfriend's nieces gave me a few mini-figures for my birthday and they're waiting to see them used in the comic, so I've gotta take care of that first. :-)

The Knights of Awesome are a big part of the comic's long-term plans, but I can't reveal them just yet.

Well, I guess I can live with that, but I don't remember who the Spadowski's are?

I'm very intrigued now, as I thought that the Knights of Awesome (which is still the best name ever by the by) were simply a recurring joke, interesting...

Fantastic new comic, I love Amarillo's character as being the classic all-too-perfect 50's hero, complete with "all in a day's work!". His attitude to his peers reminds me of Captain Flowers of Red vs Blue.

Also, the photography in this one is excellent. I remember back to Valkyrie's clash with Freundlich your action scenes left a bit to be desired, but they have certainly improved since.

----------- Schwartz's neighbors.

----------- The Knights of Awesome are actually part of the plan I had from nearly the beginning. You will see them.

----------- He is intended to be a little too perfect. One reader told me he was cheering for the dragons, lol.

----------- Thank you. I shot the Valkyrie/Freundlich battle scene under the floor lamp in my apartment's living room that has about six bulbs on bendable arms. I thought it would be a good lighting source, but discovered that it's actually rather dark. I've since been taking pictures in different locations around the apartment (including the kitchen for the "Hairbrush..." storyline), but none have been as ideal as the lightining available at my dad's house, which is where almost all of the first year or so of the comics were shot. The most recent comics were taken in my dad's kitchen, as a matter of fact, proving to my frustration that the lightining there is just all-around better. There's more ceiling lights than there are at the apartment. I prefer to use good, normal room lighting instead of blaring lamps all around the LEGO, because it and the computer monitor/TV screen tend to create a kind of dark yet illuminated look that I like.

When will we see more of scouse? I love seeing your legos clash with your other toys. What's next? Scouse leading an army of minifigs to fight in a war against the acursed megabloks!?! That right there is a great idea.

LOL, I don't have any Mega-BLOKS, but it is a good idea. You'll briefly see Scouse soon, then probably not for a little bit as I really should get back to Date Night and some other characters.

Hi KDog.

I'm a long time lurker, no time poster on Eurobricks. (Mainly because I've been a member for about 20 minutes.)

And I just want to say, this comic is brilliant.

Funny, dramatic and awesome.

But, seriously, you have to get back to Date Night.

And, I was wondering, who's your favourite character to write?

Thanks, Ben! Date Night will be back by year's end. Creatively, I have a couple other short storylines I want to present first.

Favorite characters to write? Schwartz and Ronald, because their bad behavior is fun to create. I enjoy writing for Galanos, too, although he'd kind of the opposite. He and the other two speak most directly from the different aspects of my own personality. I'm usually very happy with how Scouse turns out, because he's very stream of consciousness, but he's difficult to write. Valkyrie feels like a three-dimensional character to me, so I like writing her a lot, too.

"Nature special about sea life" - ROFL!!!!

I like the rock guy hanging out at Schwartz' house too.

Thanks for answering me so quickly. :classic:

I liked Fun on the Runway. Great way to see the Spadowski's again. Every comic they've been in is hilarious, especially "Hemming the Trousers." I love how risque that seemed, and then turned out to be the total opposite.

How old is Amarillo? I pictured him as about 55, until he revealed his blond barnet.

Thanks again,

Amarillo probably acts like he's 55, but he's the same age as Schwartz and Galanos, just more highly achieved. I've never actually stated an age range for any of them, although I'd say they are somewhere in their mid-twenties to early thirties.

Yeah, he does act like a 55-year old.

On a totally different note, I think Ronald and the Doctor's storyline is quite intreresting. I didn't notice the TARDIS at first when Ronald got the job at the burger place, but when I went back to the comic, it was definately there, although hidden quite subtly. Clever. Any chance of seeing a different Doctor, like the Tenth? It could fit in with the storyline, considering that he leaves on Christmas/New Year's Day. (At least he does for us. What time for you?)

Great new comics KDog! sorry I'm late! Much as I hate to say it I'm really enjoying these even if I'm waiting for Date Night. A couple of great continuity nods here, I love that all the characters are meeting each other rather than just Shwartz and Galanos, very interconnected. I'm sure you have a lot of trouble with that? I'm currently planning my own comic, and I find it very hard to get the details in.

The Spadowskis as always are enjoyable, poor old man has to pay the price of having a trophy wife. Part 5 especially made me laugh hard, my favourite part being Spadowski's "Raargh rargh Shwartz rargh" Nice to see where this places on the timeline too.

Interesting that you write from different sides of your own personality, I never considered that. I'm sort of the other end of the spectrum, I'll create a character with a full personality and certain views and then adjust my self to understand those views and situations in order to write them. I can see that Scouse has been hard to write as he has probably been the most inconsistent. Not in terms of character really, more in how he seems to switch back and forth between not having an accent and having one

Btw, I'm not sure if you know, but Tranquility Base is back. It went away and then returned!

Kinda reminds me of what another Space comic did recently...

If you go to the henry ford museum in michigan right now, there is a lot of lego stuff there. They even show off classic space sets! That was the first time I ever saw classic space in real life! Make me want to collect every set!
