What exactly happened to Officer Freundlich's ship? There couldn't have been much if any damage if Fruendlich accepted a couple boxes of candy as apology for the mishap, haha.

Speaking of the Space Police, I am curious if anyone will find the SPIII ship that got wrecked in the Galanos Vortex. And what is Captain Dash doing with the corpses he was digging up on Europa?

They threw a net on his ship, basically. I know my 1960's Star Trek-style special effects aren't the greatest.

Your other questions will be addressed in the story eventually.

They follow orders as per their programming, but have individual choices within that realm. Working is in their nature, but they have different, unpredictable personalities. Mr. Wobbly Droid, for example, takes seriously his job of being Ronald's "butler." S-Bot, on the other hand, works with Galanos somewhat begrudgingly. G-Bot still works with Schwartz, but his robot family has taken precedence. It's definitely something I want to explore further.

I love that you've developed your own in-universe laws and workings, it really makes the comic that much more enjoyable for someone with an eye for details like me. Other touches like the simple acknowledgment of future ice cream asnd the working order between the space Agency and Space Police are like that too.

I think they add a great classic feel, though a spider web piece could've done the job as well.

Anyway, as promised my extremely late reviews:

Lunch Time Part 19: Interesting, I like that you seem to be setting up a bigger plot with Ronald and The doctor and future Shwartz than we all imagined. Was this planned from the beginning or a recent development?

Deleted Scene: Man, S-Bot needs to get robolaid. I can see why you cut it, but I love that you are posting deleted scenes such as these, do you plan on doing this in the future?

Short Visit: Yes! You managed to find a way to include Space Police III! My hat tips off to you KDog! Even if this was filler I'm very grateful you did it as I feel that the 918 subplot has sort of faded. I'm assuming that the pilot is from the future since he speaks of time displacement, clever stuff.

Behind the Kitty: Easily the funniest of the newer comics, this one had me hurting a little bit actually since I had a stomach ache when reading it. The rubbing tummy line was the best, again another great example of you giving backstory to a rather odd craft.

Oop! part 1: Yay the twins! Am I supposed to be able to tell them apart at this stage? I love the agreements they have on everything. And as always I must state my love for Friendlich, he certainly needs all he can get at this point

Oops! part 2: I love the chief's line "You RAN from the Space Police!?" The final punchline got me though, I lvoe dark chocolate and the idea that Friendlich of all people would excuse something so irritating for something so trivial was great.

Like I said, your comedy killed mine, and that makes me sad. But! I will admit that this is way funnier, and more inspired. And I may not have been posting, but I have been following this for a long time. It's magnificent.

Kudos!

Heheh, just spent the last two days reading them all. Very funny and well... where else would we get to see a UFO fighting Nessie?. However, I think it is time already for spyrius to appear! you've been saying since the beginning you were going to feature them :)

I saw in one of the comments at Drunk Duck, someone thinks that the Intergalactic Command Base will suffer some kind of disaster. But we know from "House Call" and "Lunch Time" that the Intergalactic Command Base survives into Schwartz's term as President of the Space Agency.

How long does President Weiss have left in his term?

I am honestly not sure how good of a president he is. Why is there only 1 ship devoted to solving the Flying Saucer sightings, and the search for the 918? Lance and Vance seem capable enough, but space is vast and I'd like to think that a potential alien invasion, and an unexplained zombie would get higher priority.

I was reading some of the old stories again... "Jenny" from Star Justice... she says that she is Schwartz's future, and Schwartz has said he felt at home in his dream when his mind inhabited her body.

Well, I guess if Mikey Galanos can turn into a cat in the future, it's not inconceivable that Schwartz gets turned into a woman  The more I read back on the old comics, the more it seems that many of the characters may not have happy futures. I remember Amarillo had premonitions of being damned by the Jefferson Dash zombie...

Heh SNL+LEGO+predestination paradox , nice!

Edit: Just hope this does not make Ronald go back in time to stop the LandShark jokes from being invented ^^.

Are we ever going to see Ronald's Mom?

She's like one of those sitcom characters you always hear about but never see, like Vera on Cheers.

Good eye.

How long does President Weiss have left in his term?

It'll be awhile before it comes up, but it will.

It was mentioned in "Important Missions" that Armarillo is working with the Twins, Masoch and possibly others on the UFO case. You'll see this in the near future. The Twins respond to sightings of Dash, as well, but the Space Agency is planning something to address the situation with him. As to why there aren't more ships involved, it's because President Weiss wants to keep things as hush-hush as possible. (Project Blue Book, the U.S. military's real life investigation into UFOs, was notoriously short-staffed.) And it's because I have a large enough cast already. :)

As funny as that would be, that's not exactly what I have in mind. What he said had a couple possible meanings.

The more I read back on the old comics, the more it seems that many of the characters may not have happy futures. I remember Amarillo had premonitions of being damned by the Jefferson Dash zombie...

All I'll say is sometimes things get worse before they get better. And I don't remember Amarillo having premonitions about Dash. There was a different yellow astronaut that met Dash while dying.

However, I think it is time already for spyrius to appear! you've been saying since the beginning you were going to feature them :)

I know; a lot of people ask about them. I have a plan for them, but I've got so many balls up in the air right now, that I've put it off until quite a bit later in the comic. My view has been that they don't exist... yet.

Like I said, your comedy killed mine, and that makes me sad. But! I will admit that this is way funnier, and more inspired. And I may not have been posting, but I have been following this for a long time. It's magnificent.

Thanks, Cyclone! But don't let my work inhibit your own creativity.

Lunch Time Part 19: Interesting, I like that you seem to be setting up a bigger plot with Ronald and The doctor and future Shwartz than we all imagined. Was this planned from the beginning or a recent development?

It wasn't as planned out as it was until "Lunch Time." The idea that Schwartz himself asked the Doctor to intervene was something I thought of last minute, but it felt right.

Deleted Scene: Man, S-Bot needs to get robolaid. I can see why you cut it, but I love that you are posting deleted scenes such as these, do you plan on doing this in the future?

If I have an extaneous scene in a long comic or story, yes. Lately, I've been doing a lot of one and two-comic stories for a change. I don't want to go too long for now on unless I really need to.

Oop! part 1: Yay the twins! Am I supposed to be able to tell them apart at this stage?

I have trouble sometimes. I'm always needing to remind myself of the ways in which they differ. Those differences do come out, but they spend a lot of time as one mind, too.

My favorite line has to be "I breed fear and contempt". That's what I like about Schwartz. He goofs off and doesn't give a hoot what anyone thinks!

Thanks! I came up with that line as a last second thing and was fond of it.

And that is Schwartz in a nutshell. And here's a tease: You'll learn why he is that way very soon.

Hahahaha landshark!

This comic was (purposely, as it was about time) the first time you see Ronald, Mikey and Schwartz together. I think the combination has its own dynamic, as you see Galanos in a different light as an older brother who likes to tease and bicker with his younger sibling. I'm not sure why, but the subject of brothers and friends who are like brothers is something I address a lot in my writing.

Ah, I went back to re-read "Last Face You See" parts 1 and 2, and the yellow astronaut is Lt. Parker. I don't know why I remembered the yellow astronaut as being Amarillo.

Thanks for getting back to me on this. I like that you're going back to shorter parts as some of the more recent ones have seemed stretched out to me. On the other hand....Date Night

Yeah, were they featured in the Christmas specials a while back? My memory falters. Oh well.

Anyway, In Da Hizz-House was interesting, have we seen this command base before?

And the most recent comic got me, I love that Galanos and Shwartz get a bit of revenge on Ronald's laziness, though when does Shwartz ever work? I thi k this future thing is going somewhere too, is it going to gel into the 918 plot or are they strictly separate?

Also, this may be stupidity on my part, but woh is the man with the glasses and suit who talks to the twins if the astronaut in white is President Weiss?

I remember that KDog featured the Beta-1 Command Base in a story where Officer Freundlich was chasing Commander Valkyrie. There was a dogfight of sorts and I believe Freundlich crashed his spacecraft on Beta-1's front yard after Valkyrie shot him up.

The man in the suit w' glasses is the same President Weiss as the white astronaut. Same man, different outfit, from what I understand.

Ah thanks man, appreciate the clarifications greatly, I plan on re-reading the entire comic when KDog reaches the 300th.

But you better not be muscling in on my position as "Biggest Space Comic Fan" because you'll have one heck of a brawl on your hands

Hahaha

I read Lego Space from the beginning only a few months ago, so my memory of the previous stories is probably bit fresher than longtime fans who have followed for years.

Heh, I always enjoy fourth wall breaking. I'm glad you brought up the issue that it was no longer even pointing at Shwartz, gave me a chuckle. Congrats to your friend!

You really seem to be on a roll with these more reflective/fourth wall pieces, this was really fun to read since while I cannot really relate to your choice of toys I can really relate to that feeling of magic looking at my own old ones and how they brought me through so much more than just about anything now. That sense of wonder I get when I reread the old toy magazines I used to go through never fades however, and it is the one nostalgic feeling i would never give up.

Thanks for reminding me a little of that :classic:
