Sonic Screwdriver Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Date Night (Part 17):http://www.drunkduck.com/Lego_Space/?p=685020 "I think my face broke my fall" How did DACTA get the footage of the fight? Quote
Batbrick Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Hurrah! We're on our way! As usual my reviews: Part 15: A return to Date Night! The wait makes it all the more worthwhile. I laughed at the explanation for the lateness too, the Joseph Stalin non-sequitar was hilarious. The DACTA news team is always great, I think its quite clever how you've integrated them. By the way, how is the making of their base going? Part 16: I'm really surprised how you managed to capture the action in this one, I know you don't have a lot of space to pull the camera back so I think you really succeeded here. My favourite touch is Shwartz falling on the camper. Part 17: The "face broke my fall" joke just strikes me as so very classic Simpsons like, and as a Simpsons fan, I approve! Poor Shwartz can't catch a break though, he just set up the awesomest fight ever and his girlfriend is quick to point out the damage Overall this is a spectacular return, setting up to be one of my favourite storylines so far I reckon. About the moving to your own site thing, I think its a great idea though of course it would depend on money etcetera. Rest assured if you got one of those "clicking on the advertisements" systems I'd do it for five hours every day Batbrick Away! Quote

KDog Posted March 30, 2010 Author Posted March 30, 2010 (edited) Love the drunk Nessie with "x" eyes, hahaha Wow, I didn't even realize that! That's just a natural part of that set's design. Serendipitous! Edited March 30, 2010 by KDog Quote
Sonic Screwdriver Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Wow, I didn't even realize that! That's just a natural part of that set's design. Serendipitous! I think the 'x' eyes are generally hard to see without looking closely, but in the frames where Nessie is hanging out w' the drunk relatives/ancestors, the 'x' are very visible Quote

SeaKing61 Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 I like the change, KDog. I hope it's permanent and nothing to do with the date. I'm lovin all the comics as always, and the return to Date Night Cheers, Laurie Quote
General Magma Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 (edited) I'm disappointed. I don't like it, it's not even funny at all. Just kidding, it's great and funny too. Belville the comic? Awesome, never return to space anymore please. No, I'm just kidding again. No more Belville, no more! Btw, the snail's meowing reminded me of a Spongebob thing I saw years ago. ~ General Magma Edited April 1, 2010 by General Magma Quote
Sonic Screwdriver Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 That color scheme makes me want to barf I hope to see Belleville never again... Quote
Batbrick Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 As usual my embarrassingly late update I'm hoping to get this in before the Monday update. Date night Part 18: You have no idea how happy seeing this storyline has made me! Is this the final part? If so, shorter than expected but still a great ending. I had to laugh at Shwartz's ancestors, typical. The "imaginary" gag was quite clever too, I like that setup. Is that "mysterious" encounters thing an arc as well or just a one-off joke? This has become a real series for me, complete with Lost-style wild string theories. Typical Day at the Office: Arrrgh! Gaaagh! Just....Argh! Scary stuff here KDog, you're clearly shooting for horror here. The dialog between Fluffy Princess Shwartz and Pretty Pink Galanos was so hard to focus on when the shinyness was blinding me! I swear there's no theme you won't find a way to include in this series, and its all the better for it! Batbrick Away! Quote

Batbrick Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Heehee! New comics! You better find a way to sell these! The offensive Easter comic had me in stitches, Egg!Shwartz and Galanos is creepy. The pinata bunny was just deranged. And Zombie!Space!Jesus is totally offensive. I loved all of them naturally. And hooray! Another Date night! Last one I presume? I'm looking forward to how this all ties in, it seems Shwartz ties into this more than I thought....the plot thickens... Batbrick Away! Quote
Sonic Screwdriver Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Looking forward to the conflict between Schwartz and the UFO alien captain Quote
internalvoid Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 (edited) KDog, I'll admit I was more than a little sceptical when I found out about your comic, but I had time to kill this morning it's now sometime in the afternoon, time has flown. Great comic you have! Chuckled more than a few times. Can't wait to get home and read the rest tonight. Edited April 11, 2010 by internalvoid Quote

Batbrick Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 Good grief! Your voice on that audio clip! And you talk about Superheroes! And hurrah, the story continues! I had to laugh at Shwartz still thinking of his awkward problem while a flippin' UFO descends upon him! Batbrick Away! Quote
KDog Posted April 12, 2010 Author Posted April 12, 2010 Good grief! Your voice on that audio clip! And you talk about Superheroes! Yeah, I was being recorded over the phone and I ended up sounding like Dark OverLord or something. Quote
