The crane is great although i wonder if it would really be neaded in a low gravity enviroment :-D

Thanks for the kind words, and I really didn't think about the whole low gravity thing when I was making it! :-D

Reviving your post because I finally finished my Futuron module. It is called the "Zebra" for obvious reasons and it was in our red Moonbase (Marsbase?) layout at the Klodsfest event.

We didn't coordinate the colors apart from the red baseplates. There are two small crate transports and a rebuilt trike in the Futuron theme as well, but everything else is from other themes, mostly home made.

I will get some better pictures and start a new thread once I get time in the next weekend.

I think you are right about the modules not fitting together.

It's hard to make out much in that picture, but I especially like that spider artillery thing in the front.

As for the glued minifigs, they're almost certainly from some exhibit, possibly at one of the Legoland parks. I don't know why they are missing the airtanks though. There is a actually a pretty funny picture in the US 1989 catalog with a hostage situation involving two Blacktrons and a whole bunch (10+) of Futurons, and most of the Futuron guys don't have airtanks. Maybe those came from the same batch.

I believe they were meant to be used as keyrings and for whatever reason they weren't. Many of the figs have a white plastic clip glued to the back that looks like a keyring attachment was meant to be inserted into.

I am pretty sure they weren't used for some lego display as there'd be no need to put this other attachment on the back of them.

You're probably right. I didn't realize they had any sort of clip like that. That would also explain why they lack airtanks.
