Capt Wolf Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Governor Guilder has sent 400 golden doubloons to Gregory Decker. I'm not sure why I want a ship back that has never survived a mission unscathed, but maybe this time it'll all work out. Just now, Kolonialbeamter said: Isn't it a bit early to end the auction, or did I get GMT wrong Darn, I think you're right. Quote

Umbra-Manis Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Darn it @Legostone I got outbid because the thread was revived! (No hard feelings, I can bid again) Quote
Capt Wolf Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 For those of you wondering where your newly purchased or re-purchased ship can begin the November MRCA, here are the November starting locations for the auctioned ships: The HRS Ardent, HRS Tonnant, Wolf II, and the Flying Colt are in Longjaw (zone 24). Edit: Leopoldis is the settlement name (Longjaw is the island name). The Aspiration and Supreme are in Westface (zone 13). Hades' Trumpet and Nerdy Mermaid are in Freeport (zone 27). Quote
Dukesc Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 I put bids on the Nerdy Mermaid and Wolf II. Am I correct that the auction is now over? Quote

Umbra-Manis Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 Did you mean to pay quite that much for a class 3 ship @Dukesc? Jumping the price from 226 to 750 is quite significant. Quote

Let's just say the bidding here isn't the same as EBay....Lol Yes, I was willing to pay that much, but unbenonced to me if you bid, you automatically pay your MAX amount rather than some increment higher than the next highest bidder. I'm not worried about it and look forward to having the Nerdy Mermaid. She is afterall a very well made ship! Quote
Bregir Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 We've had other types of auctions before where you do not need to be present to keep placing incremental bids, and I suggest something like that going forward. I remember running a closed tender auction, where the highest bidder paid the next highest bidder's bid plus 10 dbs. Everybody simply had to submit a single bid before the deadline. Quote

The stats from the previous owner were copied to the license. If you had already licensed the vessel under another name, let me know by PM or in this topic and we'll get it squared away. Quote
