You can split it up into several builds (all categories). It is "unlimited" afterall. :pir-wink:

Ah, I see. I assumed that "unlimited" meant "one build, not restricted in size". Thanks for clearing this up.

Is it okay to use one thread for all my challenge entries, or should I set up one thread per entry? I would like to present it as one continuous diary, but I would understand if "one thread per entry" is easier for organisational reasons.

I would think this is perfectly acceptable - you can always link the individual posts in your thread here for each category.

I think to avoid confusion during the challenge judging by our esteemed panel of judges of which build goes with which category, it is better to have a separate thread for each category as per the rules.

I am fine with this as well, but now I have two conflicting answers.

@Bregir: Do you change your first anwser?

No, but I can change Ayrlego's :pir-wink:

Each entry should have its own topic, as dr_spock says, but you are welcome to make one thread to link them altogether as Ayrlego suggests.

Bah, sorry for the mixup. And thank you for clearing it up.

Given the number of entries we've gotten so far, we have decided to give everyone a couple more days to participate - new deadline is January 30.

I love this and I hate it!!   I was kind of looking forward to being forced to finish my entries this week, but I could sure use another 15 days!

That is great news indeed as life hits hard (in a totally good way) sometimes!

Good news (I might attempt to enter all caregories now and actually get some sleep this week) and bad news (since now my finished but not yet photographed cat A and the cat C entry I plan to finish before Sunday will have more competition)

Is it correct that there are 1st/2nd/3rd prices in the categories B and C, but only one price for category A? If so: may I ask why?

It is correct. Basically, you should see the first build as setting the stage and presenting your expedition. What we really want to emphasise is the scientific and adventurous builds of B and C.

(Also, the above may be me rationalising an oversight, but it sounds pretty good, doesn't it? ;))

We will stick with the prizes as defined in the challenge. No sense in changing it up now. :)

Thanks for clearing this up, I thought it would be like that. No big deal really, I think the categories B and C are indeed much more important.

And you are telling me this NOW? (I skipped cat B when my cat A entry grew too big...)
Anyways, I'm in it for getting inspiration to build not to win prizes (or even challenges, but thats of course totally ooc!)

@Drunknok, where are we supposed to comment on your challenge entries? I really like your entry, but don't want to pollute the thread. :look:

There are no challenge entries yet. You can comment on the story thread on everything, or wait for the single entry threads for comments on specific things. To quote myself:

If in doubt, just post where you want. :pir-grin:
