Boulderer Posted December 21, 2017 Posted December 21, 2017 Asymmetric in a highly visible area like this wouldn’t make sense. The 2 1 2 seems better aesthetically Quote
Driyac Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 (edited) I just picked up the set yesterday and boy is it fun to put together. A lot of great details. I have already started putting my own touches on it. I lengthened the trailer so that I could put a small forklift on it. I’ve attached pictures. The lift mechanism has no problems at all lifting, however there is a lot of deflection in the arms. Edited December 22, 2017 by Driyac Pictures added Quote
Aventador2004 Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 Nice setup, looks very good with the 42053 B on it. Quote
technicfan Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 The Mack anthem is nice, but am I the only one that is excited by the b model more?. Any more info about the b model garbage truck?. Quote

Erik Leppen Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 Yes, I am also very curious to the B model, which I think I like better as well. (But that's mostly because I just find trailer-trucks very uninteresting.) Quote
efferman Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 (edited) yes, the slope thing was my fault. The trailer is surprisingly solid and mostly build with panels as a backbone. Only the part above the Kingpin is a bit to wobbly at this time. Edited December 22, 2017 by efferman Quote
Driyac Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 (edited) Do you find the gearing binding at all on the lift? Edited December 22, 2017 by Driyac Quote
iv-tecman Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 So when is expected UK store release? I can see all other 2018 h1 models on Lego.com but no mack truck Quote

efferman Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 @Driyac Unfortunately i doesnt understand your question, but the gearing works fine. A motor would be nice, but it is not neccessary A small surface variation on the dbg 5x11 panels. some are matte, some are glossyStep 7 (1) by Michael Wirth, auf Flickr Quote
Boulderer Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 Just now, efferman said: A small surface variation on the dbg 5x11 panels. some are matte, some are glossy This links to an issue that was seen with black panels recently. At least it confirms that there is a mould variation that is causing the difference in appearance. Quote
efferman Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 A simple gearbox solution which works, but i think a remote with two motors is better Quote
Ngoc Nguyen Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 Totally agree on the remote thing. These two functions need to be controlled simultaneously. Quote

Isn't this happening for a few years already? Quote

Or make another gearbox with two levers that switch directions for both functions: left one for the main liftarm (big LAs), and the right for smaller arm (small LAs). Quote

Will there be a file of the complete tractor unit? It would be a great add-on for the file of my luffing crane. Luckily my trailer does fit to the fifth wheel Regards Leonard Goldstein Quote
