Posted February 21, 200817 yr Name: Imperial Battle pack Price: US $9.99 Pieces: 81 Mini-figs: 4 Mini-figs: 3 stormtroopers gray mouths, 1 shadow trooper! The shadow troopers look great! They look realistic, and very good next to stormies. Build: Very simple and quick build like five minates. the ship: Simple, doesn't seem like it would be used in the Empire's army, it can hold 4 stormies, but it doesn't work in space, so the idea doesn't work. Scoring: Design: 2/10 pieces: 2/10 figs: 8/10 idea: 5/10 Price: 8/10 Total: 25/50: good Note: Buy if you want the Dark trooper and 4 stormies, don't buy other wise... (Sorry for the short review, I couldn't find anything to say other then this. Edited February 21, 200817 yr by Lord_Sylp
February 21, 200817 yr Wow, that's a pretty bad review. I think that ship deserves at least a 5 or 6. It is not the best thing ever, but it provides a way to transport your stormies around. Also, is should be out of 40, not 10.
February 21, 200817 yr My friend, you seem to misunderstand the concept of the 'open air' thing. Tie fighters have no hyperdrive; they can't get places without a Star Destroyer. Clearly a dropship as this is sent out by a Star Destroyer that floats into the atmosphere, and then sends out the dropships, giving them zero seconds of time in the vacuum of space. ;-) As for the review, I'm surprised: You say the figs are great, but you give them a 8 OUT OF 10? They should have 10 OUT OF 10! Also, the name is 'Imperial Dropship' and I THINK we already have a review here. (I THINK, I may be wrong) I still think you don't do it justice, but that's just me...

February 21, 200817 yr Author Look, as I said about my other reviews, I'm a perfectionist, I don't think I've ever given a set more then 45/5050 total because 50/50 would to me be perfect. Also, the ship draws most of the design and piece scores (to me) down. It is just simple to the extreme. If I were lego, I would make it more stable and less breakable. Also, sorry I just noticed my mistake, it's 17/50 editing now...
February 21, 200817 yr I think someone just wants to get their post count up... Now you've edited it, it's a bit more reasonable, but still, I'd say, very low. If it was more sturdy wouldn't it cost more, making the price rise, giving you something else to complain about... :-| I'd say this set was at least a 35/50, but hey, each to their own. February 21, 200817 yr Author I think someone just wants to get their post count up...Anyway, I don't own this set but I plan to buy it, I think from what friends have said it is a good set. trooperdavinfelth has said all the right things really. BTW: Your final review is 17/10, if I remember correctly that's a damn good review! :-| I made a mistake! Okay, we all do, I changed it, if anyone else didn't notice, I left out a catagory (price) and I did 17/10 instead of 17/50. The final is at 25/50, which means it's a pretty good set, okay? Now as to getting my post count up, I'm not trying to, I'm just trying to get people to understand my review.
February 21, 200817 yr I think I understand our user, Chuck(lego2K), so I'm pretty sure I'm qualified to say I understand your perfectionist aspect. ;-) Whether or not you're trying to get your post count up, (I don't deal in such dark matters; I leave it to the mods) I have one question: You gave the pieces and the design both a 2 out of 10. Could you elaborate as to what you don't like about said aspects of the set? I just want to hear it from a perfectionist's mouth... ;-)
February 22, 200817 yr Now I'll admit, I have no love in my heart for the design of the Crapship Dropship, but even I would give it a 37.5/50. For me, the parts are all useful enough to warrant a reasonable score there. I dock it the rest of it's points for stickers and .5 for making me keep calling it a crapship. :-/ To put it in perspective: I gave the Rebel Speeder a 42/50, and I *wub* it. The lesson here? Battlepacks are all about army building, and LEGO knows it. They provided that here, and did it with a reasonably interesting group of spare parts (which they call a dropship). Thanks for the reviews, even if you are a viscious scorer. ;-)
