Garmadon Posted December 1, 2017 Posted December 1, 2017 And... I know you all thought there weren't any more of these, but... Probably the last micro build prize from Challenge V from an Eslandolan! (Don't take my word for it necessarily, though, I could be wrong ) Every village growing into a town (or into a large town) needs a place to get its horseshoes fixed and its tools and weapons mended! Drop in at the blacksmith's shop outside Puerto Desafio to have all you metallic needs attended to in fashion! Commissioned by Captain Whiffo, who obviously noticed the lack of a blacksmith shop and saw the opportunities - not to say, saw the DB signs... The backside: One last shot: Hey all! Just a little micro-vig from me showing off my light grey texture collection! (Ok, I do have a wee bit more...) I'll be licencing this as a small artisan for Puerto Desafio, which should hopefully boost the settlement up to large town status. Credit for that awesome fence design goes entirely to Full Plate! Thanks for viewing, C&C are welcome as always! Quote
deraven Posted December 1, 2017 Posted December 1, 2017 Very nice! The hands really work well for the roof at that scale, and that tree & hill (and fence on the hill) are lovely. Well done! Quote
Capt Wolf Posted December 1, 2017 Posted December 1, 2017 Way cool micro. I love that roof! And the tree, and the hillside, and the waterwheel ... You packed a lot of detail and texture into a microbuild. Wow! 24 minutes ago, Garmadon said: I'll be licensing this as a small artisan for Puerto Desafio, which should hopefully boost the settlement up to large town status. It should, as soon as I can license my small townhouse, but I have to wait until December ... <tick, tick, tick> Quote
Professor Thaum Posted December 1, 2017 Posted December 1, 2017 Great micro... with lot of texture... well done Quote
Darnok Posted December 1, 2017 Posted December 1, 2017 Aye, a great microbuild indeed. Lots of good ideas in this one! The only thing looking odd to me is the river: it is just too narrow in my opinion. Apart from that the whole thing is marvolous! Quote
Kai NRG Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 Great micro Garmadon, really like the smaller roof over the waterwheel side of the house! Quote

The hands for thatched has been used by a bunch of people before, but I tend to think that it really works better at this than at minifigure scale. Glad you like it all! Alright, well, it should be a large town now than, anyways! On 12/1/2017 at 4:21 AM, Professor Thaum said: Great micro... with lot of texture... well done Thanks Professor! And yes, I agree with you - the fact is, I built the whole terrain, and then built the house on top, and discovered that everything else had just gotten way smaller I think the path could have benefited from being a bit wider as well, but couldn't bring myself to tear the whole thing up again 1 hour ago, Kai NRG said: Great micro Garmadon, really like the smaller roof over the waterwheel side of the house!
