Posted December 14, 20177 yr I've made a little vignette to test some building techniques. Find more Photos and details on my Flickr Photostream
December 14, 20177 yr Delightful creation, looks like it could be easy to expand ;) Brick On 'FiliusRucilo' !

December 14, 20177 yr Excellent little build! The clock is, of course, a really impressive center-piece, but the minifigs bring in a lot of charme and life as well. Especially the detective... ah well! All in all beautifully arranged and wonderfully whimsical. Just for the tree I would have picked browns instead of black and slope pieces for its base.

As mentioned above i've tested out some techniques in this MOC. One of it was to build a black stem instead of a brown one and of course how to fix a hair-part upside down on a limb element to create a birds nest. Hint: I've used a round plate 1x1 with hole and a litte pice of hose rigid 3mm to tailor a kind of "double-stud" element.
December 14, 20177 yr The clock tower is quite charming as is the whole scene! I really like the double lamppost too!
December 14, 20177 yr Very nice! Really like the bird's nest, clock and lamppost. The minifigs used are great. "Interesting" clue that Sherlock is checking out.
December 15, 20177 yr Some neat features for sure. I like the idea of the clock. Is that a custom clock face? I like the actual stand more than just the die being used. The post adds a lot of character with the pieces used. The lamp post looks neat too. The birds nest works. I hadn't thought about that before. I also like the fencing as simple as it is.
December 15, 20177 yr Fantastic Town vignette. Great use of technic for an ornate clock post. Is that a hairpiece for the birds nest and is the sherlock holmes looking guy inspecting animal droppings? Wonderful build, 2 plates is the perfect height for street to sidewalk.
December 15, 20177 yr What a fantastic idea! You’ve managed to get so much character in there. I love the details of the clock base - simple but gives a really clear impression.
December 15, 20177 yr Author The clock face is a self designed pattern printed direct on the tile. I've ordered the tiles at a brick-print service. For shure, you also can do it with stickers. The Lamp post shown in the photo is slightly different from my design below. When I build this vignette I don't had the parts in the needed color at hand.
December 15, 20177 yr Great job, lots of fine details included in the sidewalk layout. I'm definitely borrowing your clock idea. Wes.
December 17, 20177 yr Thank you for posting details of how the clock was built. Lovely scene! Beverly
