Yup, definitely missing a red 16T gear there on the left of the dark bluish gray changeover catch, as well as a tan half-bevel 12T gear in the red differential casing.

Job done, 42070, perfectly working now thanks to you, dear suffocation, extremely appreciated!

And many many thanks to all of you who gave their precious thoughts!

All the best,

Idris

I had the same kind of problem with the Tracked Racer. It was a disfonctional receiver. I had to contact lego for a replacement. They sent me another for free.

Hope this solves your problem. ;)

Many thanks for your interest and thought. Mine was a “gear” problem and it is now solved.

But again, many thanks for your contribution.

Best Regards,

Idris

Oh, my God! The model is so complex inside! I won't be surprised, if you have to rebuild it from the scratch!

I remember it was difficult simply to disassemble it to sort parts!

I would think that having two vital gears missing completely is more likely to be the cause of the problem!

You are perfectly right, dear allanp and the problem is solved, 42070 works and moves perfectly. Many thanks, Idris

Dear Yevhen, you are right, it IS complex but I simply missed to put two gears and managed to put them in place with the help of the tvizzers of one of my ex-gfs

Now everything works fine, thank you for your concern and

Best Regards, Idris

I left the tan cone gear out of the actuator first time round. Luckily it was an easy fix. Check there.

Hard to say. It's unlikely he would have to start over again. Is it possible for you to provide links to pictures so we can have a look?

thanks i've found it.

Axle Connector 2L was forgotten. really a bummer. really on a place must take it apart..

thanks Allenp and Maaboo35

Hello

So I'm building this for the first time so apologies for the dumb questions.

I have built exactly as per book and spent an hour last night double checking etc. I have everything where it needs to be.

Firstly, when I turn the front drive shaft, the rear wheels don't spin at all (orange arrow)..when I spin the shaft manually behind the red casing (blue arrow), the rear wheels and front wheels spin...in different directions!

Help! Stuck at step 175 now and don't want to move on until right

I can not see any images, but when you have wheels turning in opposite direction it is one differential that is placed in wrong direction ...

Cool. Any thoughts?

I checked your model you set up. I think it's the same..

At the begining, differential orientation should be like this

(I use image posted by @Seasider from his cool project for tc16)

If I spin the red dif a not the front wheels move. The rear does not

This is how I have it set

Diffs send power to where there is the least resistance. The rear axles have more gears and more friction. => All power is sent to front axle.

Put the wheels on it and roll it on the ground. If it is correctly assembled the center diff will then rotate and all wheels will roll smoothly.

From what I see the model is behaving correctly. Rotate the center differential (red casing) directly and all axles should rotate the same way.

It still looks like expected behaviour considering my previous message.
