xenologer Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 (edited) From what little I can see here... the wheel on the technic beam, and talk of suspension. Perhaps this vehicle is going to be something like this 6950? The names are pretty similar too, just replace 'rocket' with 'cargo'. Also, question for Admiral Giddens, you mentioned that the control panels are stickers. I do notice what I *think* is an already existing printed control panel in some of the outpost pics tho... so while your custom panels are def stickers, will those older looking ones at least be still printed and available in LDD? Which brings up a thought, for those who don't like stickers, perhaps Under your custom stickers, could be provided an existing printed brick?(just not a pretty custom) Then for people who choose to never use stickers, things don't look quite so plain? Or would this kind of redundancy be too costly... just a suggestion... Edited March 7, 2008 by xenologer
Admiral Giddens Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 You may just be onto something... There are a couple preprinted elements. They've been in sets for a while. As for the stickers and other printed elements... If I catch your meaning. The stickers will go on blank pieces. It's the LEGO way. They wouldn't put preprinted expensive parts to be covered up again.
PaulC Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Wow, new pics! The Star Justice symbol on the front of the base. Cool-looking skeleton stormtrooper guys. Monstrous rough terrain wheeled vehicles. The more I see, the more I *wub* I love the look of the front of the base here, especially the snotty rock and power generator. The words "snotty rock" conjure up many unpleasant imges in my mind... thanks Batbrick! :-DFOR JUSTICE!
DJ Force Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 It may have been asked before, and I may have missed it, but will ALL those parts you used in these models be made available in LDD and Pick-a-Brick? Would give me a chance to stock up my space cameras, and other usefull things :-D
hollisbrick Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Thanks for the pics! *y* But thay price, it's...it's...so big 8-

canadianD Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 okay does anybody think that the 2nd pic looks like classic space becuase i have a couple i got at a garage sale and that hover vehicle looks like some of them did. maybe its just me i have theorized that i'm going insane :-D
danth Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 These would be so much better with airtanks, even the single airtanks from Aqua Raiders. I take it these sets only contain pieces from the Lego pick-a-brick selection? That's the only reason I can think of not to include airtanks.
Grand Admiral Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 We had to design the sets with what was available in Lego Digital Designer. We would have liked to use air tanks too.
Pencoin Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 i saw the full sets and im impressed well done! just a few questions when you pick the minifig torsos are they blank and you put the sticker on or as a piece do they go on as one? are all the pieces in these gonna be in space LDD? ( if yes, then i gettin a set full of those sweet blasters)
Hinckley Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 Wow! I really love the two bigger vehicles. Great work, guys!
Mr. Builder Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 Sweet. I like the new control panels. Could make sweet creation if the price isn't to high....
phoinix Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 discussion about the new space sets is really good over here http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=16202 perhaps an admin can merge the 2 in order to avoid double topics on the same thing. i personally keep going from one topic to another to check new replies and comments.

Merging them would create a really long topic. I'll lock this so the discussion can continue here. Thanks for pointing that out phoinix!
