As the party creeps forward through the exit tunnel, the sound of rustling scales and leathery wings meets their ears. The passage suddenly widens into a giant cavern, a glittering pile of gold in the center, with a dozen or so wyverns on the outskirts. The small drakes take to the air and descend upon the party. The distant roar of Torc echos in the distance from the other side of the cave which opens up looking upon the coast of the island, the brown dragon making her way as fast as she's able to the party's aid.

PREPARE FOR BATTLE!

Arial Fight: Enemies that are In Flight can only be hit with ranged weapons or spells. Once struck they will be Grounded and can be hit by melee weapons. At the end of the round each Grounded creature has a 1/6 chance to become In Flight.

Is Bellanotte Shadeaux a MINSTREL or a BARD?  Is there a difference?

Hoke hefts a Water Bomb in his hand, wondering if he can knock a couple of the wyverns down from their flight.  As he looks up and tries to eye them in, his helmet tilts, obscuring his vision.  Seems like it doesn't fit anymore.

Hoke takes it off quickly, to be better prepared for the fight.

Hoke removes the Helm of Prestige and replaces it with the Samurai Helm.  Back Row.

QM Note: Fixed, the water bomb is unfortunately not a ranged weapon or spell.

Hoke did some shopping before the quest, but I don't see these items in his inventory:

Hoke makes his way on the back of his dragon to the Marketplace.

Phoenix Essence x2 -100
Remedy x2 -20
Neutralizer -50
Nostrum -35
Mulled Wine -55

1256 - 100 - 20 - 50 - 35 - 55 = 996

I don't think Heroica has a BARD class. :look:

Atramor, I suggest putting Bellanotte towards the top of the Battle Order. She can sing the rapid march, which will give us enough time to stop those dragons from getting any free hits in.

Atramor rolled his eyes up into the sky - of course the damn things were flying - and prepared to whip out his claws and slash at any grounded enemies, twice, from the front row, prioritizing the Vermilion Wyverns.

"Aye, Dyric's got the right idea, Bellanotte. Althior, Matthias, try and spread out your attacks as much as ya' can so Hoke and I can rip 'em up once their scaly hides are on the ground. And look out for those damn Hunters!"

Alright, let's bring 'em down. Bellanotte, move to the back and play that rapid march.

Towards the back of the group, Rone drops to one knee, balancing the massive Crossbow of Incessant Warmongers on top it. He fires at Hunter Wyvern A (Speckled B, Hunter B) and Obsidian Wyvern B (Obsidian A, Speckled A).

The heroes spread out through the cave doing their best to find cover from the raging wyverns. Althior takes a claw to the back before firing back with a cyclone of wind grounding the beast. Bellanotte scared even whiter than her already pale complexion begins to sing a rapid march inspiring action among the party. Dyric's first shot goes wide giving purchase for the red wyvern to nearly drop him in a single blow, though the attack leaves a bleeding gash in the assassin's side. Dyric grimaces before unloading his crossbow on one of the obsidian drakes grounding two other wyverns in the process. Matthias tries to corner one of the green lizard, but it takes to the skies and releases a cloud of healing spores that filter throughout the battle field renewing the ferocity of the miniature dragons. Matthias's next shot strikes true and he brings even more of the wyverns crashing to the cavern floor. Atramor and Hoke seize the opportunity and rain down blows upon the compromised drakes. The grounded lizards are still dangerous and Bellanotte is knocked out by the sweeping tail of one of the obsidian drakes as Dyric faints due to blood loss. In the distance Hoke can hear the quickly approaching wing beats of Torc.

Arial Fight: Enemies that are In Flight can only be hit with ranged weapons or spells. Once struck they will be Grounded and can be hit by melee weapons. At the end of the next round each Grounded creature has a 1/6 chance to become In Flight.

Hunter Wyvern B should be grounded, Althior hit it. Also not sure about my damage numbers: (32+45+3)x2)x2) should be 320 for my regular hit, since the Vermillion Wyvern is vermin. And since the first one is Fragile, my critical should've done 896.

Atramor grumbled to himself, hastily wiping some of the dragon blood off his coat as he reached into it, whipping out a Phoenix Incense and lighting it, wafting it around Dyric and Bellanotte in the back row. Assuming Belanotte plays her tune again, his second action will be to slash at Vermillion Wyvern B from the front row.

"Althior, fix yourself up, you're 'bout to fall over, mate."

QM Note: The critical hit was on Wyvern A, Wyvern B was Fragile from Matthias's shot. So the critical hit did 432 while the regular did 632. Since Atramor isn't hastened, he won't get the benefit from Bellanotte's song as she will go after he revives her.

Matthias downs a smelling salts and attempts to heal Althior, staff in hand.

Whoops, somehow missed that I was revived.

Bellanotte, let's try that again.

Bellanotte plays the rapid march from the back row.

Dyric fires at Speckled Dragon B (Speckled A, Hunter A) and Vermillion A (Hunter B, Vermillion B) from the back.

Atramor, depending on how this goes, should Bellanotte make the party a little luckier next round, or do we keep going for speed?

Atramor uses his Kraken Fang on himself before igniting his Phoenix Incense, both from the back row.

Battle Order
>Hoke vs. Speckled B
>Atramor uses Kraken Fang
>Atramor uses Phoenix Incense
>Althior (fire) vs. Speckled A
>Althior (wind) vs Hunter A
>Matthias uses Smelling Salts
>Matthias heals Althior
>Bellanotte sings Rapid March
>Dyric vs. Speckled B
>Dyric vs. Vermillion A

I know it's not exactly ideal but we're eating some free hits and there's both damage and immunities to take into account.
