Captain Zuloo Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 HELP! I'm actually working on pirate harbour MOC and I badly need Mr. Cunningham's torso for a character (from Adventurer's Lego sets)! If someone has it or find it in the net please post it here. Thank you very much! ;-) Probably a stupid question, but who is Mr. Cunningham? Regards, Captain Zuloo Quote
Capn Frank Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 This is a fun little vig Bluebard. *sweet* ...This is my last post as "BlueBard" 'cause I'm going to create a new account to change some things and present you my MOC. Bye! ;-) As Mr. Phes said, if you want to have another account or change your current account, inform an EB Admin about your intents, many admins don't like it when the same person has more than one open account. Here's the thread that talks about this specific topic. BTW, i resized one of your photos so that it can be posted right onto the forum and added some thumblinks of pics to your BS folder in one of your posts. P Quote
Shadows Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 Probably a stupid question, but who is Mr. Cunningham?Regards, Captain Zuloo I think he was a minor henchman or maybe just a scruffy bystander in the old adventurers sets. Here's his torso as I drew it. Quote
BlueBard Posted March 3, 2008 Author Posted March 3, 2008 Sorry for the delay! X-D As promised, here are some WIP pics from the harbour MOC I'm working on. You can see the main structure with a group of lego workers building it and two parts of streets. I'll try to post pics of the rest of the buildings this week ;-) The back of a street The same street finished The left part and one of the stores The right part Some mini-figures Working Building Another part of a street, and some refreshment in the back! This is a fun little vig Bluebard. *sweet* As Mr. Phes said, if you want to have another account or change your current account, inform an EB Admin about your intents, many admins don't like it when the same person has more than one open account. Cyclone Titan Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 Im with DJ Force on this one, I also like the sailors being interviewed(they are being interviewed, right?). Quote
BlueBard Posted March 4, 2008 Author Posted March 4, 2008 Im with DJ Force on this one, I also like the sailors being interviewed(they are being interviewed, right?). I know it looks like they're going to be shot by a laser but yes, they are being interviewed :-P I wanted to present it like it was a movie set they were building or something and that's why you see "modern" figures with pirate looking ones. Thanks for your comments! Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted March 4, 2008 Governor Posted March 4, 2008 Sorry for the delay! X-D As promised, here are some WIP pics from the harbour MOC I'm working on. Don't forget to resize the pictures - the pictures you've posted are a bit too big. Recommended size is 800 x 600. See the How to Perform a Batch Image Resize Tutorial for instructions on how to do this. Phred only resizes images for you once to you to get you started, from now on you've got to resize your own images. Quote
Capn Frank Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 ...Thanks, Phred! :-) ... Your welcome Mr. Bluebard. Check out the tutorial that Mr. Phes posted. If you have any questions, send us a PM. ;-) P Quote
BlueBard Posted March 5, 2008 Author Posted March 5, 2008 More pics of buildings. The final result is near! I only need to find a better place to make photos and a better camera :-P General Store by side General store with stairs A tavern in progress Quote
Capn Frank Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 Thank you for the resized pics mr. bluebard. *y* The tavern looks really cool so far. I don't see a lot of buildings in gray and red, but it seems to work well for this one. If you'd like some inspiration for you harbour, check out the Land-Based MOC Index. That is, if you don't know about it yet. X-D P Quote
BlueBard Posted March 6, 2008 Author Posted March 6, 2008 Thanks, mr. Phred ;-) Yesterday I was taking pics of all the mini-figures involved in my harbour MOC and I did this funny one what I called "Three dead pals". They were fellows for life! (and death) By the way, comment the pics people, please. What do you think about the store, for example? Thank you anyway for viewing! :-) 968 views for the moment! Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted March 6, 2008 Governor Posted March 6, 2008 I think you could make it look a little bit more interesting by rotating the blue awnings 45 degrees - the lower half seems a bit flat. I think some greenery beneath the windows would be nice too. You shall install a shrubbery! What's that sign above the door? Is it a custom label? Quote
BlueBard Posted March 10, 2008 Author Posted March 10, 2008 I need some ideas for a crane for my harbour MOC. I've done a little fortress for the imperial soldiers so I think I'll put it there but I would like to build a single structure too. I've search for that in brickshelf and euroforum but I found nothing *wacko* Can you give suggestions? Thanks! ;-) Quote
BlueBard Posted March 12, 2008 Author Posted March 12, 2008 More pics! The crane I was talkong about Some buildings in progress The store with modifications A white building A red dock And finally some cannons Please comment! Thank you! :-) Quote
Captain Zuloo Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 If I can make one critisism it would be that the airplane windown look maybe a bit moern being round and all. Good job though. I look foward to seeing the finnished model. Oh and I think I may have the torso in my Lego collection. I'll keep looking. Reagards, Captain Zuloo ;-) Quote
BlueBard Posted March 15, 2008 Author Posted March 15, 2008 Thanks captain Zuloo for your comments! Now I've some holiday days I'll try to finish everything properly and I really hope to show you the MOC before the end of this month ;-) By the way I would like to propose to you to give me any suggestions you want for mini-figures or little scenes just as SlyOwl did for his Nassau Port MOC. :-P Thank you! Quote
SlyOwl Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 By the way I would like to propose to you to give me any suggestions you want for mini-figures or little scenes just as SlyOwl did for his Nassau Port MOC. :-P Thank you! Well, just so we can get an idea, a rough list of the "action" faces you have would be good - e.g. scared, angry, grimacing, n00bish... For example: Angry: 5 N00b: 10 This is what I do before a large MOC; sort out all my useful faces from the rest. Then we can get a rough idea of what sort of scenes are possible, like fights or calamities ;-) Quote
BlueBard Posted March 18, 2008 Author Posted March 18, 2008 I'm sorry but I only got "classic" LEGO faces *wacko* I think the newest are from 1999 or 2000... Quote
WarnIcarus Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 I am really excited to see more pictures of the tavern, that looks like the best building in there! Quote
SlyOwl Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 Are you Bricklinking for this? Perhaps you could add on some heads... Other suggestions: -Fishing (boat/off dock) -Fight -Patrol -Drunk -Trading -Fire Quote
Admiral Blockbeard Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 (edited) You could have a thief running off with some newly aquired goods! Seeing as you have a crane you could have the loading of a boat. Could have a small group of pirates trying to sneak past the patrol. Birds pooping on unsuspecting minifig. A funeral service for army-fig... good excuse for a gun salute... actualy i may go make one my self... *runs away to make his first ever moc... *sweet* ohh and here is a pic i was going to use in the creation of a port in denmark, but seeing as your doing it already, im sharing the love http://criticschoicevacations.typepad.com/...yhaven_ro_2.jpg Edited March 19, 2008 by Cpt. Pegleg Blockbeard Quote
SlyOwl Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 Actually, your avatar has an "action" face - Grimace/Grumpy! This could be used for someone in a fight ;-) Quote
BlueBard Posted March 20, 2008 Author Posted March 20, 2008 Good ideas, thank you! I think I'll use them for some empty areas I have in the MOC :-) Sorry for the extreme delay! X-D In fact everything is built by now and I have only to assemble it but I got so much work by now that I hardly have time for LEGO. Anyway I'm going to try to post it before the end of the month. Promised! Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted March 21, 2008 Governor Posted March 21, 2008 Things are coming along nicely then! Did you know you can add links to pictures? This way you don't need to add text hyperlinks next to them. Quote
