Delbaerov Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 (edited) Have decided to recreate the location of the Hit Canadian TV show Kim's Convenience. The sign was made with Avery transparent label paper. Just waiting on some tan masonry brick to move forward with the project. Will have this shown publicly at the BrickCan event near Vancouver, BC in April \ Edited January 11, 2018 by Delbaerov Quote
Great Ball Pit Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 Look forward to seeing it at BrickCan! Quote

beverly888 Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 Looking forward to seeing how you do the interior and what mini-figs you include. Totally love it, by the way! Cheers! Beverly Quote
Delbaerov Posted May 25, 2018 Author Posted May 25, 2018 Kim's Convenience - exterior completed. Interior to be completed at a later date. Sign and mural both done on sticker paper. Everything else is all Lego Quote
Littleworlds Posted May 26, 2018 Posted May 26, 2018 I have no idea about the series this building is from, but looks very well made. Nice work. It sits nicely in your city layout! Quote
LegoModularFan Posted May 28, 2018 Posted May 28, 2018 Looks great! I like the effect given by the profile bricks, too bad TLG still didn't introduce one for the corners... I look forward to seeing the interior! I don't know the series neither but I find it weird that in some images, there's a window on the roof and in some, there isn't... Quote
dr_spock Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 Cool. Another Kim's Convenience Store MOC. 9 hours ago, LegoModularFan said: I don't know the series neither but I find it weird that in some images, there's a window on the roof and in some, there isn't... The window on the roof was probably a temporary structure constructed for filming and removed when done. Quote

Don't hold your breath on the interior, this one has been retired to my closet while I work on some other buildings. The corners actually work correct to the building with the way I've done it. I actually reached out to the lead actor, and the roof part was added for season one filming, because the actual store doesn't have the living space upstairs like the show needs there to be. THe structure is no longer there in reality but will be in all B-roll moving forward Quote
