Brainbox Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 So am I, he was in a movie, he ought to be in the game. I'm also hoping for Maxie Zeus, but that might not happen. If Ra's is in, it'll be interesting to see how they get him in. He's not a resident of Arkham (well... he is now, but that's a different story), and he's most certainly not a team player. It'd be great to see him, just as long as they do the character justice. Maxie Zeus could be in. There aren't many villains left to chose from, so I guess it's a possibility. Quote
Batbrick Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Why dont like The Batman? Because it is horrible plotless action with lame guitar riffs, bad voice actors, terrible terrible villains (the joker as Rastafarian monkey!?) and a whole lot of other stuff I hate. No, ra's would fit in the best, there has to be ap lot in the game other than just catching criminals. Who broke them out? Ra's of course, to wreak vengeance upon the city like in Batman Begins or his comic series that had him trying to prove ot Batman his crusade is worthless. He would be the ultimate main, main villain. I'd love to see Maxie Zeus too, but I'd rather Firefly. How many are left to see? Batbrick Away! Quote
Andrex Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Yea I saw The Batman on TV a couple of times o.O what's with it? It's more like Scooby Doo than Batman D:. Waaay too kiddified. -- Andrex Quote

Yeah, atleast the upcoming Brave and the bold Batman series embraces it's silliness by being campy and fun. The music is actually good too, unlike othse awful guitars in The Batman, urgh. Pencoin Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 I didn't mind The Batman I though it was pretty cool... The last two villains I'm hoping for are Ra and Firefly aswell. Hero-wise theres a rumor doing the rounds that Spiderman or Superman could be secret characters. I don't think neither are very plausiable Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Hero-wise theres a rumor doing the rounds that Spiderman or Superman could be secret characters. I don't think neither are very plausiable That would be like having Spok in Star wars, Batman and Superman(the more ideal choice in my opinion) are DC, whereas Spidy is mavrel. Plus I don't think LEGO has marvels licence anymore. Quote
Andrex Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Superman would be fairly plausible, considering the amount of DC comic crossovers there've been. I mean, I was reading up on Batman villains. Lex Luther cropped up so many times x_x. You never know! -- Andrex Quote
Pencoin Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Yeah Also he would be a great super character super-speed = build fast super-strengh = damage x2 fly = maybe like fetts jetpack and gliding? x-ray vision = see in dark areas see where minikits are heat vision = projectile attack super - resitance = invinicable and go through things like toxic has and stuff He would be a great character then . Andrex Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 That's exactly the kind of moveset I was thinking of myself! If they pulled off something like that, I'd be most pleased =). -- Andrex Quote
hewkii9 Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 That would be like having Spok in Star wars Or a Cylon in Star Trek! Quote
skelliesgang Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 LOL, i hope TLG makes a set for killer moth. he makes a funny looking minifig. Quote
Zarkan Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 (edited) Because it is horrible plotless action with lame guitar riffs, bad voice actors, terrible terrible villains (the joker as Rastafarian monkey!?) and a whole lot of other stuff I hate. I wouldn't say it's fair to call the whole show plotless - there's a lot of episodes that have decent plot overall. Episodes like Grundy's Night, The Laughing Bat, Strange New World, Artifacts, Two of a Kind, A Matter of Family, Riddler's Revenge, and many others were not all action (Riddler's Revenge was mostly talking and flashbacks, for example). A lot of the earlier episodes had that problem, but it improved in the later seasons. And the Two Parters all were great. Also, how can you say that actors like Rino Romano (Batman), Robert Englund (Riddler), James Remar (Black Mask), Dorian Harewood (Martian Manhunter), and others were bad? Yes, I know that there were bad voice actors, but not all were bad, and even some of the worst ones sounded good sometimes (listen to Joker in his first episode, and then listen to him in The Laughing Bat. Notice how much better he sounds in the latter?). Villians? I don't see how villians like Riddler, Black Mask, Clayface, Bane, and others qualify as "terrible terrible." And personally, some of the other villians like Mr. Freeze and Catwoman had amazing character designs, even though their voices weren't great at all. I guess it's just a matter of viewing The Batman in it's own right, instead of comparing it to BTAS. BTAS is better in many ways, but IMO The Batman did shine in some ways (especially in the later episodes). The amazing animation (compared to BTAS's inconsistent, often choppy animation), innovative character designs, and a fair amount of episodes with good plot and voicework combine to make it worth watching, even if it isn't as good as BTAS. Pencoin Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 I agree Grevious, the show does get better in later seasons. Thinking of heroes, even though everyone hates him, maybe Red Hood could be in? Quote

trooperdavinfelth Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Good stuff, good stuff! The first one is new, the second is kinda old, but the third is also semi-new. I can't wait to test out all of Robin's special moves... That's so funny when Gordon and the two cops whip out their guns at the box... Cutscenes... Gotta love em'! Quote

Pencoin Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Looks good but there were still a few glitchs which was worrying. Can't wait to see Nightwings suits. Quote

Yeah, also to Harley, the way they did her in that scene is also a score... Looks good but there were still a few glitchs which was worrying. Can't wait to see Nightwings suits. Really? Which are they? Quote
Pencoin Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Look carefully, and you will find them. One notiable one is the flying cop. Also the controls seem to be a bit broke, judgeing from Mr.Freezes part Quote
hewkii9 Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Or the person controlling Mr Freeze could be an idiot, just putting it out there. And hasn't it been said that Nightwing gets all of Robin's suits, like Batgirl gets Batman's? They'll probably be the same except for recolorings. Quote

I thought a highlight of this game was being able to make enemies fly backwards up in the air with a bonus attack or something. Where is the flying cop in the video? Time? Nah, that's just the crappy player playing Mr. Freeze. No offense, but he appears to be a n00b to Lego games. Quote
