WhiteHexagon Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 wow, it's sounding like this game is going to exceed indiana jones which I really enjoyed (to 100%) :) I hope the motion controls are optional, somehow waving things around doesn't always work best in these game imo. Anyway I have it now on pre-order, so don't expect any work on WhiteHexagon for a week or two following launch ;) Quote
Andrex Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 I'm loving that Joker costume! Also, I actually look forward to the vehicle levels. They look very fun =). As for launch, I'm in the UK so I'll be getting it a while after America. Looks like I'll be avoiding spoilers, especially since the levels are all original this time around. Not long now anyway! -- Andrex Quote
Green Ghost Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 Here it is shoc . Wow, thats cool! Also Hush... It would be awesome to get other versions of other characters too, like a green Ivy, purple Catwoman, movie versions like TDK Joker... That along with other characters like Batwoman, Ras, Talia, Red Hood, Red Robin, Zsasz could make 50 characters... I can't wait for this game... Quote

When I do get the game I'll like to know about the little cheats and that though... Mmm, bonus levels. :skull: Quote

Pencoin Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Very nice, I have that police bike. Love Nightwings bike as well (why Robin riding it?). Quote
Green Ghost Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 I have read that the new GameInformer Magazin has confirmed Ra's! I don't get it here, but maybe someone of you can take a look... Quote
Andrex Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 (edited) I'd read about that too. Apparently he's topless with two swords as weapons. Still, I'm waiting for an official confirmation! Also, awesome vehicles! I love them =D Hooray for the Ice Cream Truck haha. -- Andrex Edited September 18, 2008 by Andrex Quote
Brainbox Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Hush is a bit disappointing in my opinion. Sure it is accurate underneath, but TLC's refusal to make a trenchcoat even in the Lego games annoys me. This is what I was hoping for: I agree that he should have had a trenchcoat, and that I am a little disappointed that he doesn't, but he's accurate enough otherwise for me to forgive it. I doubt we'll play as the construction worker. SWAT member definitely though, they look great, and I reckon those henchmen are Riddler's. That guy in the purple hat and green/white torso is obviously Joker. Indeed, those SWAT team figs look really great. As for that poor Riddler henchman... being beaten up in every screenshot. I and probably Brainbox too had a geek out moment there, that fig is straight out of The Killing joke: Oh, of course. And I believe it's called a nerdgasm. As for launch, I'm in the UK so I'll be getting it a while after America. Looks like I'll be avoiding spoilers, especially since the levels are all original this time around. October 10th. Watch out for Mad Hatter's Glider!!!!!!!! What the...? Since when has Mad Hatter ever had a glider?! Oh, but aren't there a lot of vehicles? All the obvious choices are there, of course, plus a few unexpected treats. I wonder if Monarch Theatre is a reference to Monarch Playing Cards from The Killing Joke? The red button on Gordon's desk is obviously a reference to the Batphone, and the bit where Robin jumps off the roof is a neat touch. Mad Hatter's glider looks cool, if a weird choice of vehicle for him. Seriously... I can't wait. Quote
Andrex Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Oh yes I realise it's October 10th, but that's still sufficient time for me to find out things I don't want to! My preorder's in, so I look forward to the package coming in the mail in 22 odd days! -- Andrex Quote

My preorder's in, so I look forward to the package coming in the mail in 22 odd days! I understand that. I want to come at this fresh, without knowing too much about it. That is to say, without knowing any real specifics about individual levels or details of the overall story. These next 3 weeks are going to go so slowly, just because I really want this game to hurry up and come out. Quote
???theriddler??? Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 Sorry to say this, but OMG! 11 minutes of lego batman, you can see the whole batcave, and a piece of a level, you can see how to play levels where to buy everything! OMG, here it is . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrDV2m5Pg9w Quote
Andrex Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 Awesome, thanks for the notification! And for PSP, what more could I want? It's so great to see it in action. Nineteen days to go for me . -- Andrex Quote
WhiteHexagon Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 wow, this game is looking great! I like the freeze ray the most so far, gonna make me some ice cubes :) Quote
trooperdavinfelth Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 Wasn't the release date for the US September 23? I kinda figured that since we already know pretty much all about it it's coming pretty soon. But I'm not sure... Also, has anyone checked out the website at TT games? Quote
hewkii9 Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 Awesome, Suit upgrades are a different tab than characters on the purchase-things screen of the Batcave! Probably means we'll get to upgrade then whenever we want..just like I wanted! Now if only I had seen Maxie in that video we'd be all set... Quote
???theriddler??? Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 Also, has anyone checked out the website at TT games? What's there then, i do'n't see anithing special. Quote

OMG, here it is . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrDV2m5Pg9w Wow, that is seriously great stuff, worthy of your "OMG"s! The movie bits are really cool, as is the gameplay, I like the Batcave very much. Anyone else think Clayface is a little too hyperactive? :skull: Quote
???theriddler??? Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 (edited) Yes, i think he is . And lego batman is already to download on the psp!!!!!!!! That's very soon, wel, i'll buy it on the pc! I can't wait for this game. Edited September 21, 2008 by ???theriddler??? Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 (edited) Thank you very much, ???theriddler???! The video looks awesome, now I have to make a very dangerous dision, Fallout 3 or LEGO Batman, and all these new vids are making lean towards the later! I've also had another theory (go to the baritones threads for more) that should please both me and hewkii9 very happy. If you can cast your minds back to LEGO star wars: the complete saga, we never saw Ki-adi-mundi, Aylaa Secura, Plo Koon, the black R2 unit and (If memory serves me right) any of the body hunters 'cept Boba and Sam, so the Ventriaquist and Maxie Zeus may be quite plausible! EDIT: Another great idea! Lego star wars got two sequils, and it's safe too asume Lego Indy will to (new movies and complete andventure), so why is it out of the realms of possibilty that batman can't get two! The second an entirly new thing like this one (Bigger teams, more teams, Ventrilaquist (spelling mistake, sorry. My favourite villian and I can't get the name right! lol) if he's not in this one.) and then one with the two in one with even more extra's! Edited September 21, 2008 by professor flitwick Quote
Batbrick Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 Thanks theriddler, that is one cool demo. I love the opening wit the big three villains all in a cell together, and Clayface while hyperactive is awesome. I really, really hope his hands go big like that when you punch someone and I reckon they will. The Batcave is very nice, too bad about the lack of memorabilia but the vehicles and little details more than make up for it. It seems Killer Moth is on Joker's team as well, poor sod Batbrick Away! Oky Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 I've also had another theory (go to the baritones threads for more) that should please both me and hewkii9 very happy. Wrong. We did get Plo Koon and the black R2 recently, and we got some "body hunters" with the last Slave 1 (Dengar and IG-88), not to mention Jango in the Slave 1 before that. But I see your point: there are still some minifigs in those games we didn't get yet. So, yeah, it is plausible, and I would love to see the ventriloquist too! Speaking of which, have you read this post of mine yet? I don't think there will be another Indy game, considering that it didn't sell that well and only has KOTCS to add to it, but I think that Batman will sell better, and if they can come up with a concept that is as different from the first Bat-game as LSW 1 was from LSW 2, I do believe that there could be another Lego Batman game. And there is no doubt of course that you should choose this game over Fallout 3! Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 So, yeah, it is plausible, and I would love to see the ventriloquist too! Speaking of which, have you read this post of mine yet? What about the new ventriloquist? I will soon have to chose - Force Unleashed or Batman...... Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 No Oky Wan Kenobi, you appear to have me all wrong. I meant we never saw them in levels (bounty hunters don't count) or cutsences, not sets Quote
Oky Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 I will soon have to chose - Force Unleashed or Batman...... Oh, that's actually a pretty tough choice. I was thinking the same thing, but being the SW fan that I am and having waited for too long to wield a lightsaber and use the force with the Wii-mote & nunchuck, I decided to go for TFU. It's really cool, and with the Wii-exclusive duel mode, you can unleash the force on a friend. It seems like the gameplay of the Wii version of LB will be quite interesting as well, though. But if you are planning to get these for a different system and if gameplay doesn't really matter, you might want to go for Batman since it probably has more replay value and has Co-op mode. And I don't really know what you mean by "the new ventriloquist". No Oky Wan Kenobi, you appear to have me all wrong. I meant we never saw them in levels (bounty hunters don't count) or cutsences, not sets Oh, OK. Now I understand. Quote
