Brainbox Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 Cheers Andrex. I'm going to focus on the suits for a minute, I think. The Glide suit is simply beautiful, and the smoke bombs feature is a nice treat. The Sonic Suit and Gravity are... imaginative. The magnetci suit looks wonderfully retro, which is fantastic. I love retro! The water suit is rather cool actually, the tech suit isn't bad either, and the demolition suit is... well, . Interestingly, it reads as though Bats will have a water suit as well... Quote
Andrex Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Ah yes, you have to love these suits! Considering all the different faces of Batman, and all the different villains, vehicles and gadgets, this game is going to be one Hell of a medley <3. And I adore the Sonic suit . Blue! -- Andrex Quote
Pencoin Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 the shadow suit seems intresting i wonder if other character will have different suits? (ferdora joker? Quote
Andrex Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Considering a large portion of the game is dedicated to villains, I wouldn't be surprised! That would be fantastic . Now then, I have the apparent US box art, taken from EBGames.com, so here it is: Rather simple, and not as exciting as the other Lego titles, but hey, it'll suffice . I think in higher definition, it should look quite dandy. -- Andrex Quote
Brainbox Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Rather simple, and not as exciting as the other Lego titles, but hey, it'll suffice . What?! It's awesome! It looks so 'classic Batman'. To a fanboy, the Batman pose especially, it looks brilliant. Quote

Batbrick Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 What?! It's awesome! It looks so 'classic Batman'. To a fanboy, the Batman pose especially, it looks brilliant. Exactly, it's perfect So that's:Joker Harley Mr Freeze Scarecrow Two-Face Catwoman Penguin Riddler Killer Croc Man-Bat, Bane and Poison Ivy have apparantly been announced as well, but we've not seen them yet. That leaves 6 unaccounted for... *Prays for Ra's and not Killer Moth* I'm liking how this is shaping up, but there is more than Batman and Robin as the heroes surely? Didn't one article state Nightwing would be in the game? And another that you could play as Gordon against Joker and Harley? Batbrick Away! Quote
Andrex Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 What?! It's awesome! It looks so 'classic Batman'. To a fanboy, the Batman pose especially, it looks brilliant. Haha, very true my friend. I must agree with you there. And 18 villains? Hmm this should be interesting. I look forward to seeing what they come up with. Overall, it should be a fantastic little collection . -- Andrex Quote
Dadster Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Out of 6 more, I'd say Joker Thug, Two-Face Thug, and Mr Freeze Thug. Then there are possible Riddler Thugs... While I'd love to see new characters (Ra's, Black Mask, Firefly), I foresee Thugs as extra villains. Quote
Brainbox Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Didn't one article state Nightwing would be in the game? The article said Nighthawk, but we all take that to mean Nightwing. I think Gordon will be a playable character, and I'd imagine Alfred will be in there as well, in a C-3PO/R2-D2 support way. Perhaps Batgirl will pop up as well? While I'd love to see new characters (Ra's, Black Mask, Firefly), I foresee Thugs as extra villains. Possibly, but I'd like to think it meant 18 Bat-rogues separate to the thugs, etc. It'd certainly be better to cram as many proper rogues in as possible. Quote
Batbrick Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 The article said Nighthawk, but we all take that to mean Nightwing. Yes, I remembr that, I too assumed it meant Nightwing. I think Gordon will be a playable character, and I'd imagine Alfred will be in there as well, in a C-3PO/R2-D2 support way. Perhaps Batgirl will pop up as well? Yes, I thought I read an article stating that Alfred would pour a hot cup of tea on his enemies or something, it sounded very funny and much like the games have been done. Hopefully Batgirl pops up too, you just want Oracle though! What did R2 and CPO do in Lego StarWars? Possibly, but I'd like to think it meant 18 Bat-rogues separate to the thugs, etc. It'd certainly be better to cram as many proper rogues in as possible. Me too, I imagine it will be that way too. I think the thugs might be playable though, but I reckon these 1 playable villains are, well, villains! Plus, we NEED Bane and Ra's (the mentioned mystery villain perhaps?) I'd love to see the plot involve a twist with a villain orchestrating the plot! Batbrick Away! Quote
Shoc Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 What did R2 and CPO do in Lego StarWars? Opening doors and not getting attacked. Kinda useful, even though they don't have weapons, which Alfred might have. Alfred may be one of the best characters to use, though I expect he doesn't have special suits! :skull: Quote
Brainbox Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 Opening doors and not getting attacked. Kinda useful, even though they don't have weapons, which Alfred might have. Exactly. I mean, he is a butler after all. Alfred may be one of the best characters to use, though I expect he doesn't have special suits! Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's Butler-man! And is it just me, or does anyone elsse want to see Bat-Mite pop up? Quote
Batbrick Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 Exactly. I mean, he is a butler after all.Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's Butler-man! Lets hope not, I'm hoping he is still playable though, maybe in a Wayne Manor based level or something? And is it just me, or does anyone elsse want to see Bat-Mite pop up? After seeing Grant Morrisons recent debacle with him............No Batbrick Away! Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 I think I may have of worked out the 18 good guys: 5 batman suits (can't remember the names, plus the normal one), 5 Robin suits (can't remember the names, plus the normal one), Batgirl, Comish Gordon, Cop, Alfred, Batwomen (maybe), Nightwing. In my opinion, this may not be a bad line-up. Quote
trooperdavinfelth Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 Indeed! I think you have it set! Although if Batwoman or Batgirl aren't in it(and I have to say I doubt either of them will make it ) I can see possibly a second cop and maybe what's his face, the detective looking guy. I totally forgot his name; in the cartoon with Gordon having whitish hair and a white moustache he's a short guy, stocky, and has a grey hat and a grey suit. Quote

(maybe with the exception of Wiggum). I doubt we'll get Batwoman in addition to Batgirl though. Batbrick Away! Quote

Batgirl I strongly doubt, Batwoman I strongly doubt too, but I'm sure TLC will please us all with their final assortment. Quote

No offense Brainbox, but I find a wheelchair a bit limiting Still, I'm more interested in villains, so long as I get two play as Two-Face, I'm two - I mean happy. Batbrick Away! Quote

Just another black suited super... person to kiss up to Batman. I don't recall an Oracle; pray jog my memory, Mister Batbrick, if you could? Yes, Two-Face will be two much fun. In fact, he'll be two much fun to play around with two even consider the way two get two the end of the game. JK, I just wanted two keep up with the twos. Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 I don't recall an Oracle; pray jog my memory, Mister Batbrick, if you could? Not sure if thats sarcasm, but I'll answer anyway! I belive someone broke Babra Gordans leg('s), so she sits infrot of the Batcomputer comunicating with Batman. I think? Have we ruled out the possibilty of Catwomen be classifed as a 'hero', I thought on many occasions, she was good, aswell as bad. Quote
The Brick Rat Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 (edited) Not sure if thats sarcasm, but I'll answer anyway! I belive someone broke Babra Gordans leg('s), so she sits infrot of the Batcomputer comunicating with Batman. I think? Close, but not quite. Barbara was crippled when the Joker shot her at home. No longer able to function as Batgirl, she became Oracle and now provides intel to Batman (and the superhero community at large) and heads up the all female team, the Birds of Prey. Originally, Oracle worked out of the Gotham clock tower, but last I heard she was working out of an airplane. As for the 6 unknown villians in the LEGO Batman game, here is who I'd like to see: Clayface: with the ability to create weapons from his own body. Ras' al Ghul: an accomplished swordsman (and accompanied by ninja henchmen would be nice). Firefly: a guy who can fly and set things on fire. Black Mask: with his own masked thugs. Maxie Zeus: with lightning bolt staff. Mad Hatter: with mind control ability (imagine Batman suddenly having to fight a mind controlled Robin or ordinary Gotham citizens).
