Batbrick Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 Loving manbat, even though the arms falters my belief that we may get him in Lego. The way his head is done with that hairpiece is awesome tohugh, and it's great to get Batgirl, a fig I really want in the real world. I really must get this, I simply must find the money. I haven't seen Lego Indy for PC yet, are they still releasing them in that format? Batbrick Away! Quote

I haven't seen Lego Indy for PC yet, are they still releasing them in that format? Batbrick Away! Some responses : Emboldened: How so? They aren't connected to the wings; if anything the wings a new piece attached to one of those bricks that attaches to the neck and has a stud on the back. Italics: Agreed! I'd love to get a hairpiece like that... And now that I see Batgirl... I'm not complaining. Underlined: It'll no doubt be on DVD, so that's a mere 20 bucks. Indy is also on DVD; yes, they are still coming out. I'd suggest looking in lower class dealers like Target or Woolworths(that's what I assume to be the general store that isn't in America ) in the video game section, or, for sure, Best Buy or Circuit City, if you have either. I actually found mine in a Wal-Mart(I forget when; it was close to the day of release), so good luck hunting! Quote
hewkii9 Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 I got Lego Indy in Best Buy on the day it came out, so you might wanna try there for console versions [i have it for PS3] And would it be possible to get this topic pinned? Quote
Zarkan Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Killer Moth? Mad Hatter!? BATGIRL!? .... this game has reached the ultimate level of pure awesomeness. Okay, let me see how the list of characters is adding up: GOOD GUYS - Batman Robin Nightwing Batgirl Commissioner Gordon BAD GUYS - The Joker The Penguin Catwoman Riddler Two Face Harley Quinn Mr. Freeze Scarecrow Poison Ivy Bane Manbat Killer Croc Clayface Mad Hatter Killer Moth So, we have three spaces left for villians, and I'm expecting that we will see one more good guy (probably Alfred). I'm hoping that the three more villians are Firefly, Ra's Al Ghul, and Ventriloquist, like other people are. Quote
???theriddler??? Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Thanks for all this guys! but don't you want clockking! Quote
The Nightwing Reborn Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 (edited) This game gives me so much hope for 2009. I could see Batgirl and Killer Moth, well Killer Moth only because i think he is cool. And that Man-Bat is awesome but if the figure is ever released he should have wings on his back instead of his arms. )TNR/TKM( Edited July 31, 2008 by The Nightwing Reborn Quote
hewkii9 Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Just on topic of the remaining villains - I want Ra's and Maxie Zeus. Maybe Carmine Falcone. And I would love a Clayface fig, and perhaps some different versions of the villains - we don't want them to get like the Indy fig! [i've noticed that the Joker sets seem to be pretty Jack Nicholson Jokery - the Batwing obviously, and I know the other set has the Tumbler, but I can't imagine the Heath Ledger Joker driving a pimped out ice cream truck, and a lot of people have called Jack Nicholson's Joker performance like an uncle, and it says Uncle Joker right on the sticker. I'd like to maybe see a Cesar Romero Joker in a really silly set, and then maybe a Heath Ledger Joker in a TDK set] Quote

A lot of the other character designs look complicated, these would probably be some of the easiset to make. Hopefully these guys will be in the game, but why save revealing them until last? The Lego versions of the characters are the Lego versions, not a particular actors', after all. They may be loosely based on specific portrayals but I don't see that there would be any different versions. :skull: Quote

Hopefully these guys will be in the game, but why save revealing them until last? Well I don't know who else they'd be saving for the latest reveal, all the big villains've been covered. Unless there's an original villain [which I doubt] it might just be that they've saved these simple character designs to the last to render, and they don't have anything finished to show? Quote

Eh, no they haven't, Ra's Al Ghul is a majorly huge villain and his appearance as the final reveal would be pure awesome Batbrick Away! Quote
hewkii9 Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 Eh, no they haven't, Ra's Al Ghul is a majorly huge villain and his appearance as the final reveal would be pure awesome Batbrick Away! I was more talking about Maxie Zeus in that quote, I mean all you need is a guy in a suit and a staff, I think. Quote
The Brick Rat Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 So far all these new character designs have been great. There are only 3 more villians to reveal, but I can think of 6 that I'd like to see: Black Mask, Dead Shot, Firefly, Maxie Zeus, Ra's al Ghul, and Ventriloquist/Scarface. I'd also like to see the Creeper as a hero, but I'm sure that's not going to happen. Quote
Brainbox Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 I really must get this, I simply must find the money. I haven't seen Lego Indy for PC yet, are they still releasing them in that format? Well if Indy hasn't been released on PC I don't know what I've been playing for the past few weeks! How so? They aren't connected to the wings; if anything the wings a new piece attached to one of those bricks that attaches to the neck and has a stud on the back. Making it very likely we might get him... I'd suggest looking in lower class dealers like Target or Woolworths(that's what I assume to be the general store that isn't in America ) in the video game section, or, for sure, Best Buy or Circuit City, if you have either. Nah, Woolies is crap. It seemed to have every platform for the Indy game except PC. As does the new Argos catalogue. I got mine from GAME. Speaking of Argos, the release date for the Batman game is listed as 26th September. Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 Wow! Man-bat and batgirl look great! Where are people getting the idea that theres only 18 villians, but, if there is I'd like to see Ventrillaquist (sp error, sorry), Firefly and Black mask or Red Hood. I think Alfred maybe playable, with the who was played by Morgan Freeman in BB will be the guy you buy stuff of. Speaking of which Bruce wayne is supposidly unlocked in a Wayne Manor level, Alfred be player 2, perhaps? It could be Dick grayson, but that would be unfair against Barbra Gordon. Also the huds different for heros and villians, who will be the dexter for the villians. So many questions! Quote
The Brick Rat Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 Where are people getting the idea that theres only 18 villians... It was announced somewhere, but I'm too lazy to go looking for the source at the moment. Quote
Brainbox Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 I think Alfred maybe playable, with the who was played by Morgan Freeman in BB will be the guy you buy stuff of. Bearing in mind of course that in the Indy game there was the librarian to buy characters from, while advice and hints were given by Henry Jones Sr. Just because Alfred gives the hints doesn't mean he won't be playable. It certainly makes sense to have him as a playable character. Maybe he could open doors and the like. Actually, I think it was subtley announced that he was in. I remember reading somewhere that his special move was to pour tea over the enemies. To do that, he must be playable. Quote
Batbrick Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 Well if Indy hasn't been released on PC I don't know what I've been playing for the past few weeks! , best confirmation ever! Making it very likely we might get him... Oh of course! In fact, I could make a set of wings right now using those Endor glider ones. Not that i would, you know, without the rest of him, but it makes him possible. Wow! Man-bat and batgirl look great! Agreed! Where are people getting the idea that theres only 18 villians, but, if there is I'd like to see Ventrillaquist (sp error, sorry), Firefly and Black mask or Red Hood. But most important of all is Ra's. It was confirmed I believe that their will be 18 heroes and 18 villains, though I do hope for more, what are we up to now? I think Alfred maybe playable, with the who was played by Morgan Freeman in BB will be the guy you buy stuff of. Speaking of which Bruce wayne is supposidly unlocked in a Wayne Manor level, Alfred be player 2, perhaps? It could be Dick grayson, but that would be unfair against Barbra Gordon. Also the huds different for heros and villians, who will be the dexter for the villians. So many questions! I believe Arkham Asylum is the hub for the villains. And the character you're thinking of is Lucius Fox. It certainly makes sense to have him as a playable character. Maybe he could open doors and the like.Actually, I think it was subtley announced that he was in. I remember reading somewhere that his special move was to pour tea over the enemies. To do that, he must be playable. I thought I told you that? The article said something about pouring hot tea on his victims and then offering them a towel to dry up like the good butler he is Batbrick Away! Quote
Brainbox Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 It was confirmed I believe that their will be 18 heroes and 18 villains, though I do hope for more, what are we up to now? Batman and Robin, plus four alternate suits each makes 10 in total. Plus Bruce Wayne and Nightwing makes 12. Assuming we get Batgirl, Alfred and Gordon as well, that makes 15. So three left to reveal then. 15 villains as well, so again three more to reveal. I thought I told you that? The article said something about pouring hot tea on his victims and then offering them a towel to dry up like the good butler he is Maybe you did. Who knows... Quote

Shoc Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 And in that Nintendo article that was posted a long time ago, it mentioned the suits being upgradable. Does anyone know anything about that? It says: "[The Demolition Suit] lets Batman drop Bat Bombs to destroy shiny black LEGO objects. It can be upgraded to let Batman drop five bombs at once." So, it's just the demolition suit that's upgradable, and that's probably by using the equivalent of Lego Star Wars' red bricks. Maybe not, but it seems liek that kind of useful add-on. :skull: Quote
Pencoin Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 Maybe it means that the buy-able versions are better then the in-level versions prehaps? Maybe something to do with the mini kits? . Quote
hewkii9 Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 I hope it's more along the lines of separate tiers of characters, like Demolition Suit level 1 being what you use in story mode, and then for 100000 studs you get Demolition Suit level 2, and it replaces Demolition Suit level 1 as a character. And I think I also read that the Glide Suit can be upgraded to allow it to drop smoke bombs to confuse enemies. Quote
Shoc Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 And I think I also read that the Glide Suit can be upgraded to allow it to drop smoke bombs to confuse enemies. Oh yes, it says that it can be upgraded for Batman to throw smoke pellets at enemies to confuse them. I missed that. :skull: Quote

Assuming we get Batgirl, Alfred and Gordon as well, that makes 15. So three left to reveal then. That's good! I'm predicting Lucius Fox makes an appearance as well. hopefully, who else is there? 15 villains as well, so again three more to reveal. Ra's, Ventriloquist and Firefly are my predictions, but I'd be happy with just Ra's frankly. Maybe Batgirl has a few suits as well? I doubt it, she'll probably be like Nightwing and be an unlockable player. Oh yes, it says that it can be upgraded for Batman to throw smoke pellets at enemies to confuse them. I missed that. That's awesome! I love that they can be upgraded! The smoke pellet idea is very reminiscent of BTAS. Batbrick Away! Quote
Brainbox Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 That's good! I'm predicting Lucius Fox makes an appearance as well. hopefully, who else is there? Heroes? I guess there's Cassandra Cain, Steph Brown, Huntress and Azrael, but they're probably not well-known enough. Harold? Ra's, Ventriloquist and Firefly are my predictions, but I'd be happy with just Ra's frankly. Firefly will probably be in, as they can reuse the Killer Moth model to a certain extent. I doubt it, she'll probably be like Nightwing and be an unlockable player. Likely. Actually, I think the Nightwing reveal article may have said that he could use Robin's suits in-level (as in, the costume change pads), so maybe Babs can use Batman's cotume pad. So who knows? Quote
