Well we know Batman's going to dance at some point, so with any luck they'll have made it the Batusi.

Hopefully, complete with the music and everything!

No, not yet. Just TLH.

Oh, disappointing, Definitely, definitely read it.

I see what you're saying, but to an outside market, to someone who is only a casual fan of the Bat-mythos, to someone who isn't either me or you, it's best to have Joker, Riddler and Penguin. Before TDK at least, my dad for instance, could identify those three, but not Two-Face.

Fair enough, your dad is a fool!

Seriously though, growing up Two-Face was rather well known around my friends surprisingly. I just hope he is characterised right, with a bit more seriousness like Mr.Freeze.

On the other games, the last level of the 6 is the boss level. Across the other 5 there are 'semi-bosses' which take up parts of the level, but not all of it like the 6th chapter.

So we can assume that the boss on the last level of each chapter is the villain who's leading that team. On the Heroes game at least.

Thanks! I like that idea, means we'll fight all the villains seemingly. But a whole level of fighting Riddler? That'll be interesting

No, I want to. I just need to find it first.

Or Penguin for that matter. Hardly the peak of physical fitness, is he?

I dont think you would fight either conventually....

It's conventionally, by the way.

So, odds that we'll be playing as Nightwing/Gordon/Batgirl in any of the hero levels? I'm hoping so, even with suits it would get mighty dull only playing as two guys - let's hope for a Gordon/Batman double bill!

It has a similar story to TLH with a killer but now two-Face is involved. I love it, even with TLH for me.

Yeah but atleast he has the penguin bombs and umbrella, what will Riddler do? Hypnotise you for 10 minutes?

In certain cases it'd be a plus, but i don't see how in Riddler's case.

Afraid not only Batman and Robins is confirmed

Actually they've all been referred to as "unlockable", with Nightwing and one other I believe as simply bonus characters. The others I'd assume would take part, we know Commish Gordon is, as their is a level where you have to capture the Joker with him.

Has Riddler actually ever hypnotised anyone? Ever?

It's possible that other characters, like Gordon, might be picked up during the level and lost elsewhere. Play as Batman and Robin for all the level, and a third character joins in for part of it, for a specific section.

No, but he does it in the game with his cane, haven't you noticed that? I was sure you were the one who first saw it.

Good point, or their skills are necessary for getting the goodies when you return like in Indy with the Thuggee statues etc.

And now.. for those awaiting news on a new hero..

I BRING YOU BATGIRL! =D

batgirl.gif

REAL NAME: Barbara Gordon

OCCUPATION: Librarian

BASE OF OPERATIONS: Gotham City

EYES: Blue

HAIR: Red

As the adopted daughter of Gotham City’s Police Commissioner James W. Gordon, Barbara Gordon was raised in a household filled with cops and their stories. Barbara wanted nothing more than to follow in her father’s heroic footsteps, but the elder Gordon, knowing how dangerous the streets of his crime-ridden city could be, refused to allow it. Bothered by her father’s refusal to allow her to serve on the G.C.P.D., Barbara wore a homemade “Batgirl” costume to a masquerade ball as a jibe against her father but instead wound up saving billionaire Bruce Wayne from a kidnapping attempt by Killer Moth. Deciding that this was how she could serve the cause of justice, Barbara Gordon elected to keep her new costumed identity. Her source of inspiration, Batman, was as much against her decision as her father would have been had he known who she was behind the mask, but the Dark Knight eventually came to accept Barbara as Batgirl and as part of his inner circle of crimefighters protecting Gotham City.

Powers and Abilities:

In LEGO Batman: The Videogame, Batgirl has the ability to utilize Batman’s technology suits including the Glide suit, Heat Protection Suit, Sonic Suit and Demolition suit in her efforts to fight crime alongside the Dynamic Duo.

So I was right. Just like Nightwing can use Robin's suits, Babs can use Bats'.

I am however, and shall attempt to answer you're question... honestly, I've no idea.

That said though... I'd chase her.

Here we go! Man-Bat! [my apologies, it would not let me use the images directly =(]

http://www.shacknews.com/images/image-o-ma...8e0e47aff1d.jpg

REAL NAME: Robert Kirkland (”Kirk”) Langstrom

OCCUPATION: Biologist

BASE OF OPERATIONS: Suburban Gotham City

EYES: Red

HAIR: Brown

An expert in biology with a specialty in bats, Doctor Kirk Langstrom hoped to cure his growing deafness by creating a serum that would give him a bat’s ability of echolocation, which allows those creatures to use sound to navigate in the dark. However, the serum had an unforeseen side effect, reacting with Langstrom’s genetic makeup to transform him into a man-sized bat. The serum also robbed Langstrom of his intellect, and he went on a crazed rampage, terrorizing Gotham City until Batman was able to reverse his transformation. Langstrom, unwilling to give up on the serum, injected himself again soon after, and turned once more into Man-Bat. After kidnapping his fiancée, Francine, he injected her as well, and she too became a half-human/half-bat hybrid. Batman again stopped Man-Bat, restoring both Langstrom and Francine to humanity.

POWERS

In his bat-like form, Man-Bat has powerful wings that allow him to fly, and strength far greater than that of a normal human. He has the natural sonar of a bat that allows him to navigate in the dark, but his vision in daylight hours, when transformed, is severely limited.

I think there was a mention of some shadowy areas of the levels that only certain characters could access, weren't there? I'm guessing then that Man-Bat is one of said characters.

That poor unsuspecting gardener... hasn't got a clue.

And that picture where he's emulating the classic Batman pose with his wings wrapped round him...

I'm going to guess hes a good guy?

I shouldn't think so. He's been an accidental menace far more often than he's been a hero.

It mentioned Batman's Shadow Suit allowing him to build with 'dark lego', maybe Man-Bat can do that too.

And Heat Protection Suit, is that new?

Very, but I understand

So I was right. Just like Nightwing can use Robin's suits, Babs can use Bats'.

Very good, I like how this is turning out. It'd be cool if the villains had something like this, but their own devices are cool enough.

That said though... I'd chase her.

I think they are following her, though you'd chase her of course.

I love that idea, that would be very cool. I wonder if transformation is something included, as the article states that when transformed he has weak eyesight. I doubt it, but I wonder if that or his sonar will make an appearance.

And that picture where he's emulating the classic Batman pose with his wings wrapped round him...

I love that pic as well, it'd be awesome to have them side by side.

I shouldn't think so. He's been an accidental menace far more often than he's been a hero.

There really needs to be more Manbat stories, he's criminally underrated.

In the Comics both Bane and Man-bat have turned good so maybe the same here?

But in the comics both suck at being good. And I doubt it, Bane is pretty much all evil and Manbat is well........ Manbat.

Like Batbrick said, they're more likely to be villains. Plus they're generally better known as villains, even among comic geeks.

Maybe he'll change part way through a level or something? Or maybe you can buy Dr Langstrom as a Free Play character.

He's not really been seen much since the 70s has he? Save for a few appearances that is.

Like Batbrick said, they're more likely to be villains. Plus they're generally better known as villains, even among comic geeks.

definitely, plus as mentioned before Bane is pretty lame when he is good. And Manbat is plain feral, being good would just be overkill for the Bat-Family, oyu might as well include Bat Mite! Catwoman on the other hand is looking to be a good femme fatale.

And I'm guessing that we'll actually play as all the villains within the game, rather than just Batman and Robin on every level like on the Heroes side.

Yeah, that'll be really good, though i'm almost 100% sure that one of the levels you play as the Commissioner to capture Joker, does anyone else remember this?

So what are the teams? I know Riddler's team has Two-Face, Mr.Freeze and Poison Ivy. And joker obviously has Harley, do we know anything else?

Maybe he'll change part way through a level or something? Or maybe you can buy Dr Langstrom as a Free Play character.

Good theory, I like. Of course, including Langstrom means all bets are off and then Lucius Fox and other more background characters are demanded. I'm guessing if a tranformation is included it'll atleast be in the cutscenes, which would still be awesome.

He's not really been seen much since the 70s has he? Save for a few appearances that is.

No, really, he's a perfect villain for short stories though, like a small bit in Detective Comics or something. He needs a definitive tale like Mr Freeze.
