Boomingham turns to the Fry One. “Unfortunately I think the last fairies we saw were in Dastan and dead.”

Addressing the group: “we need to get back on mission. As far as i can tell that means getting to Rosier, or getting to whatever new name they made up for Fort Bonaparte. Either way it means getting out of here. Was thinking of going toward those ruins over there - from what I hear there’s a plethora of temples down here that demons hang around in. Alternatively we could try to get to the surface.”

"Fort Bonaparte!" Lind was clearly excited by the mention of its name. "So it does have something to do with all of this.

Back when I was in the sewers, I heard the Phlegmen talking about the Fort. Apparently, not only did someone turn it into a prison for a lot of very important people, but they're storing a large, mysterious box from the Dragon House.

“Anyway. Dark Druid just went northwest, but we did just kill a whole cadre of them and don’t think it changed anything. Forgive me the pun, but I’m still an advocate for going to the root of the problem.”

I agree. That plan seems to be...in flower. And I consider the likely root of that problem to be the Temple of Zoot. Such a place would be a fitting home for an archdemon to take up her residence in.

But first, I think we should call upon our Prophet's meditation powers - which may save Eubric the more, plunging into the Temple of Zoot after Rosier, or investigating this Fort Bonaparte scenario - which, I think, may be the answer to many of the questions swirling around these Founder imposters?

There is no doubt that Rosier would seem to be the more demanding...but we may have missed a key piece along the way. Their relation is still very unclear, and I would not like to have a great tragedy happen elsewhere, that our focus on Rosier allowed to happen.

Please don't think me heartless - I have only the greatest of sympathies for the Fae, and its troubles - but it is almost destroyed. Eubric is still very much intact. And my sympathies must ultimately lie with my home city.

I would like to make what surety I can, that in my efforts to save another realm, I am not unintentionally dooming the people of the one I, as a hero, am most bound to serve."

He nodded at Benji. "Thanks to his efforts, the unintentional death of the Fey One was avoided. If another choice like that silently awaits us, I would like to know it beforehand."

Karie looked over the group, trying to discern whether or not going after the Rosier was a good idea with who they had on hand. "If you're going to take on the Rosier, than you're going to need more hands to take her on. I've fought an archdemon before, and it's not easy. The Founders were one thing, but archdemons are on a whole other level. I'm not opposed to tackling this together, Lawrence, if you can put your pride aside."

"Are you willing to tango with me, Boomers?" Karie asks, a slight grin curling at the sides of her mouth.

"Hmm. I don't like this. At all. If there's something there that was taken from the Dragon House, than it's likely the team that went there is already investigating it." Karie pulls out her Magic Compass and looks for Atramor's direction, hoping it correlates with the direction of Fort Bonaparte.

"While I am not averse to having some foreknowledge to aid us, and I admit that these are both things that need attention, unless Benji says otherwise then the most urgent thing on hand at the moment is finding the person who preceded us through this portal. This person is likely to have more information than us about what's going on here, and if we allow them to get away then they'll be able to warn their allies that we've destroyed Rosier's stronghold in the Faerie and freed the Fey One- pardon me, Euflear, from her grasp."

He stopped, as if a thought just came to him.

"You lot," he said, indicating the Hovels party, "you saw them go past didn't you? Tell me, did you get a good enough look at them to be sure that they were a Dark Druid?"

A muffled shout echos down from the southeast tunnel where vines and roots overgrow the entrance.

The insult flies over Heckz head, since the mage was too distracted trying to remember all the names of everyone present, before shifting his attention to the person adressing him.

He puts on his usual smile.

"Long time no see, Mr. Boo... naparte? Anyways, it's always nice to see someone else who didn't get a skin disease from the blistering desert."

To see someone with horrible skin sometimes made Heckz cry at night. The horror of something like that possibly happening to him was too much for the ageing mage to bear.

He tries to remember Boomingham's name whilst wondering where his obsession with the word "boo" came from. He then turns to the other two heroes, Torald and Eric, whom he knew and kind-off tolerated.[/I]

"Mister Muscles!"

He addresses both of them.

"How's it been since the school, and the dessert that almost gave me something far worse than tanned skin?"

He leans in closer to whisper.

"Is there a reward I'm not aware of?"

 

After hearing Katie's summary of what his party supposedly did, his curiosity beat his pride and he actually asked the minstrel a question.

"But, Miss Tries-Too-Hard-With-Makeup, there's something I didn't quite catch there: Why haven't we dispatched those 'founders', whatever that means, already? I'm certain we far outnumber and outmatch them."

Karie coughs as dust from the rubble settles. When she notices the figures, she lends a hand out to the trio. "A pickaxe would've done fine, Throlar!" She continued to wheeze as she billowed the dust away with her hand. She smiled seeing who was on the other side.

"It's good to see some friendly faces, Dyric!" She takes note of the others present, recognizing the dwarf but not the pale faced younger woman. "Come on out of there, you three. It looks like you've been through a lot."

"It's not about outnumbering them. Before you tagged along one of them nearly took out what you ran into minus Benji. These Founders are not to be trifled with."

Eyeing this peculiar character Ezeran bows slightly. "I guess we haven't had the pleasure of crossing paths before, my name is Ezeran Yavarr. Interesting to meet you!"

Torald smiles as he sees a few more heroes join the already quite large party. Sorry I didn't rush to aid you, we, or at least I am, are quite on edge, loads of weird and bad things going on. Anyway, glad to see you.

Now that you mention it, she does seem to wear too much make-up.

Seeing what is happening, Germ gets behind his Shield for cover. Aren't you supposed yell something before you do that? And look, something is leaking from that blast. The whole cave is probably going to get flooded.

"No, no one's dead," Matthias replies as he dusts off his hat, "or at least they weren't when we left. We just left Atramor, Hoke, and Althior with Ulric, Copper Fox, and Kukulkan back in the Hovels. We should all head there now."

"Oh, and Lady Karie is correct: these fake founders are very, very powerful. It took everything we had to do in just one - I can't imagine having to fight more of them at once."

As Matthias said, we've killed a Founder. Went up against the Doomsayer. He put up a fight, but we were smarter. Pulled out Atramor's summon stone and killed him in a snap. Guess he wasn't feeling too good after that. Turned into dust. Pixie dust - these Founders are definitely a fake. Probably fabricated by someone with a grudge against Heroica.

For further proof, we were able to secure a necromancer from the Ziegrieds' - Arthur says hi, by the way - and broker a conversation with the soul of the original Golden Dragon. Her tomb was locked shut when we found her, she was legitimate. Those folks running around upstairs are not. 

Not that it matters, their Miracleworker is about as powerful as the myths say. We defeated an entire army of paladin and town watch forces, and in a moment he had raised them all again. They're fortified in Fort Freedom, and they have the Shadeaux and a slew of innocents ready to hang for aiding us. The plan was to gather everyone at the Hovels and prepare to strike. Ulric and a squadron of Lion Knights have the section on lock down. Only thing going in us. 

Which, and I hate to hurry things up, we should be doing. Soon. I'm not letting these fakers shed innocent blood tonight. 

That said, I'm sure you and Lawrence have some interesting tales of your own. I don't know if you want to say your piece now or in the Hoveks, but we should all get in the same page soon.

Boomingham rolls his eyes at Heckz and is embarrassed to catch Karie doing the same. He turns to face his fellow party leader. “Why on Olegia would I not want to work with you on this?” He asks, playing wounded. “If memory serves I have never wavered in my devotion to the Hall, and it was you who occasionally forget which side you were on. But no matter.”

Boomingham turns to face the newest new arrivals. “We just played a whole long round of catch up, so I’m afraid our tales will have to wait. I grow anxious. Let us reconvene with the boy and the dragoon and their whole lot. Onwards and upwards.” He glances around and sniffs. “Anything is better than this dank hole. Feel as if I’ve been down here for months.”

Having said that, Throlar attempted to heal Dyric of his injuries.

"I don't remember us having spoken before, and there are a number of people here I haven't met before, so allow me to introduce myself. My name is Throlar Wineghilm."

Throlar then nodded to Elphaba.

"Madam, would you mind dealing with the gnome and miss Shadeaux? Your gloves have properties that would make your ministrations more helpful to them than mine."

Matthias nods greeting to Throlar as the latter gives his update, then stares dumbfounded for a moment as he realizes that The Fey One is present. Elphaba's healing jolts the druid back to his senses - he hadn't even noticed his own wounds, much less those of his party - and he doffs his hat briefly to the witch.

"Friends, we must hurry to meet the others and mass our forces. The survival of those in captivity demands it."

"To be honest, I can hardly imagine taking down at archdemon without the likes of Atramor, Hoke, and Althior present. Though, I suppose with a party of myself, Benji, Karie, and Skrall, with a few others, we could make a tidy nuisance of ourselves. Still, having lost the...Skrall, would you be able to Track Down the person we are following?"

Even though Hoke can be a bit difficult to deal with at times, he is quite powerful... I'd say let's stay together for now and join up with them as soon as possible. Torald turns to his original party. I think we don't have much more to do, right? Our mission was to get the Oracle. We got her. Or am I a bit dumb again and forgot something?

Greetings Throlor. I think I recognize you from the Locale, but that was hardly an opportune time for introductions. 

First, Dyric turns to the Founder, clearly impressed.

The Fey One is alive, then? Curious. These Founders clearly retain the memories of the legitimate articles, I had thought they had received those from the Fey One, being made of faerie dust and all. If you are intact, however, I don't know how that would be possible. A pleasure to have you on our side, at least.

WIth that, Rone turns back to Throlor. 

Still. I know and care little about this Rosier, our problems stem from the Fort. I will not let anyone die for what they have done by my word. If we wish to divide forces, I understand, but I highly recommend we fully regroup first. We should make our decisions as a united force. 

In any case, my priority is the Fort, and I will return to the Hovels with anyone who desires to follow.
