I turn back to the Walking Mountain. A part of me wants to stay and fight it out with him, but I pull myself away and rush after after the scientist.

Karie breathed a sigh of relief. She still felt beat up, but she at least didn't feel like she was on death's door.

"Thanks, Throlar. I appreciate it." As Giocanda shouts from the cellar, Karie prepares to bolt.

"Time to go!"

Karie flees with Throlar.

Vindsval looks straight into the eyes of the mountain and brings his blade up in solute.

An honor sir.

"This isn't over heroes, you can't run forever."

Smoke fills the room as the group notes the roof of the laboratory beginning to open. The party quickly makes its way to the cellar and find Doctor Giocanda in front of a large circular structure, white pulses of energy emanating around the circumference. Stairs lead into a portal of white energy.

"Quickly, you don't have much time. We'll figure out somewhat to get you out, but we'll need to dismantle the gate somewhat to make sure no one follows you. I've no idea what you're going to find there, but good luck. Any last questions?"

"I'll take my chances." Lind nodded at the Founder. "Thanks for the gear!"

He started to leave, but stopped, and tilted his head.

"Say - ever heard of anyone looting a Founder before? That's got to be one for the books."

He ducked into the cloud of smoke, and followed after Karie and the others.

"How long do we have before this "somewhat" happens?" Are we on a timer?

Other than that, no."

Lind began to climb the steps to enter the portal, but stopped, and paused.

"Pretzel - can I call you Pretzel? - Since you're the only one who can use it, with that fancy Fashionista trick of yours, I move you hang on to this Totem for the momentSkrall, or Vind - one of you should maybe do the same with this Great Club? - since Skrall's the only beast warrior we have, and that tool of yours, Vind, looks like it can hold on to it.

Vind might be better suited, though, since Skrall's got that wonderful Greatsword, and I think it's fair to say that nearly everyone we encounter is at least a little shorter - meaning Skrall's already doing almost as much damage as he could with the club.

If anyone feels they need some spare remedies, just ask, else I'll keep keeping track of them."

OoC: Lind hands out/returns any artifacts/consumables, then enters the portal.

Vindsval accepts the Club, and stuff it into his belt.

What is the old human saying?  If it doesn't work, beat on it until it does?  That should do nicely.

Doctor do you know anything of where we may be stepping into?   If not, I say we make haste.  WE have put these people into enough danger.  WE are not the only ones who she be leaving.

"What are those ships up there?"

"We'll try and get things set back up in Xu and send a message through when we're ready, but if you can find another way, that'll probably be more dependable."

"No clue, the Faerie is a hard plane to pin-point. It's constantly in flux and moving about, much like its inhabitants from what I hear."

"Tritech airships, they'll be getting the rest of the equipment to Xu."

The party heads through the portal, motion sickness overtaking them as they jump from one plane of existence to another. Moments later the group finds themselves in a small glade, the portal quickly closing behind them. A fine dust or pollen floats through air and everything seems cloaked in shadow. With a shout, several winged figures jump the party, weapons drawn, a familiar face among them.

"Halt intruders! Surrender or we will be forced to..."

The hooded man looks at the group with a confused look.

"Heroica?"

"Death to the invaders!"

"Well, that's not the nicest of greetings, but I've heard worse."

Lind shrugged, and grinned. "I feel the need to stack the odds in our favor."

He began to take aim at the mosquito fairy with his Wind Spitter's Deck of Cards...

"That'll be us."

He squinted at the hooded man. "You look familiar...did we ever get into a fight?

Although, for some reason, I feel like I remember you as having a lot more scales..."

"Benji, do you know these outsiders?"

Kiray prepares for a fight but pulls up when Benji speaks. He looked familiar, definitely one of the older Heroes, but she couldn't place him. "Well, not really Heroica anymore, but sure, that'll do for now. Everyone mind putting their weapons away? We're not here to fight you."
