"Actually it is a rather common name in Titaan," Throlar said diplomatically, "and honestly, do I look like the fellow you're looking for?" he said, tapping his Skull Mask in an attempt to use it's ability to disguise it's wearer as undead.

"Well that seems like a major oversight, did your superiors actually bother to give you any description of the people you're looking for or did they just say 'here's a list of names, find the people on it'. Who gave you these orders anyway?" said Throlar, trying to keep up his diplomatic tone.

"Orders are from the Council, surprised you'd even be asking. Didn't you see the Z-mail that went out? Seriously, don't even know whey I'm still talking to you. The rest of you got anything to say?"

"Really? Your council seems to be doing a rather shoddy job of giving you orders if they can't even be bothered to tell you what the people you're looking for look like." said Throlar, attempting to use his diplomatic training to surreptitiously make those listening start to doubt the council's competence. "But then again what do I know? It's was probably a minor oversight that will be rectified shortly." he continued. He was about to smile disarmingly before he remembered that the mask he was wearing obscured his facial features completely.

"Yes, this encounter has lasted far longer than necessary methinks. Well, it was nice meeting you all, we'll just be on our way now, goodbye!"

Hiving finished speaking (diplomatically of course) Throlar turned to leave (hopefully with the others in tow).

"No, my friends here have said it best." Karie replies. "I'm merely travelling with them for protection, what with those Heroicans on the loose. I'm just moving along to my next performance, you know, being a bard and all." Karie points to the instruments on her back. "So, uh, if we could get moving, I'd appreciate it. Please."

There is safety in numbers as they say.  It was an honor meeting you sir.  I hope to see you once more in quieter times that I might hear your stories.   Vindsval knuckles his forehead and walks after Karie and his undead friend.

Kiray smiles inwardly at the good idea of throwing away the stool she used as a weapon, which could've given her away if she kept it. "I agree with my tall friend here."

"You heard me, I have authority over this investigation." The detective turned to the Party, "Now, be on your way folks."

"Hoples, this'll be on your head, you hear."

Warlock briefly glances at the heroes, some of whom he still was thankful for for all their help with his previous cases, he smiled nervously.

"So be it."

The detachment of paladins watches warily as the group continue on towards the Winking Gargoyle. It doesn't take long before they finally reach the small inn. Two werehound brothers greet them cheerily.

"Sorry to bother you, but were looking for someone who contributed an article to the Eubric Herald recently, you wouldn't happen to know who that would be? They called themselves 'Frustrated Flying Filly'."

Hoples words cause me to look on him with an expression of sadness.

I turn to the others.

"You know, a while back we were wondering about whether Heroica he has been doing its job here in Eubric. In some cases, I think we haven't. Perhaps we haven't opposed the houses as strongly as we should have or sided with them so readily as some did, but when you see such gratitude from someone due to his past experiences with Heroica...it is quite touching. Before, I would never have thought of Warlock as the kind of man to do something like that either."

Karie shushes Pretzel before moving close to him. She looks around the inn, hoping no one heard the monk. She speaks to Pretzel in a hushed tone.

"I think you and I agree on more things than you believe Pretzel. I've never really met Warlock, but he seemed like a nice guy.

Look, it's people like Warlock who we need to get on our side: the middle man, the person who doesn't look to the Founders with any sort of love. If we can get Filly on our side, we can hopefully turn the tide here. I want Heroica free from the grips of the interests of the houses so it can serve people like Hoples and those who need our help, but we're not going to achieve such a goal if we're dead. Keep mention of Heroica to a minimum, for all our safety."
Karie grimaces. Maybe she was too hard on Pretzel earlier. She pats him on the shoulder.

"I've got this group's interests at heart, Pretzel, and I think you do to. I'd hope we can both realize this is bigger than both of us. History has it's eyes on us."

Vindsval ducks inside and breaths easier.  He looks around for something large enough to support his bulk.

Greetings and well met gentlemen.

Vindsval finds a large arm-chair in the lobby suited for an ogre's build.

"Well met indeed, I am Billian and that is my brother Trillian, what can we do for you today?"

Karie notes a long hallway with multiple doors running down both sides.

"Umm, excuse me Miss, if you're looking to rent a room, I'd prefer you'd speak with me first before wandering about."

"Apologies, I'm merely a little inquisitive, is all. How much is a night's stay?"

"Well that's a problem, the people at the Herald themselves seem to have no idea who this person is or where they live, the reason we're here is because this is where their payments are delivered according to the owner of the Herald."

Vindsval relaxes into the chair and sighs.

By the Wanderer, can I path never be straight?  Do you know of receiving any mailing from the Paper, and know of who might be picking them up?
