Alright, time to build something that I am very excited to do... a 42055 C model. I thought a snow groomer would be the perfect topic. The model will have the following functions:

- Snowplow lifting (PF)

- Crane rotation (PF)

- Crane lifting (PF)

- Rear "grooming tool" lifting (PF)

- Each track, individually controlled by a multidirectional gearbox to allow drive and steering (PF)

- Snowplow steering (Manual)

- Pendular bogie suspension

The build begins with a sturdy frame.

So that's it for now- hope you enjoy, please leave a comment. Thank you!

Yes, it will be. I'll try to use those where it is necessary.

that is the best use of 6 x 4 liftarms

That's a really cool project.

Have you tested the gearbox under load? I'm anxious about the 16t input gear not being directly braced to the following gear.

Also the 24t gears on the tracks seem like they could work themselves loose pretty quickly.

I have; so far everything is working just fine. I geared down the tracks more since posting this update, and now I think I should add more bracing to those 24t gears. Thanks!

I too very much like the way this is progressing, pretty interesting. Even though to me it's more of a Terra Forming Gargantuan, than groomer. Can't wait to see final results.

Can't tell if that's a good or bad thing, but thanks! Terra Forming Gargantuan sounds pretty nice

Definitely intended as a good thing.

How is this for gargantuan? This is my next update, adding the plow and the rear implement. The plow can be steered and locked.

I wish I would have saw this sooner! That is looking very good, so much progress in such little time. 42055 is a great c-model set just because of the wide variety of parts that you are given.

You are the master c-builder, I am looking forward to progress!

I just mean to say it is very large, as have others, that is good, I really like large builds. Sorry for any confusion I may have created.

This groomer is coming along nicely, with the addition of the attachments. I am starting to like it more, keep up the good work.

Can't wait to see the final video of it in action, hopefully there will still be some fresh snow around.

Just wondering what function the turntable will have, will it be for cab rotation or some kind of crane attachment?
