So yet another teaser, oh well I guess hype sells. I don't really care for the way that engine looks, not sure how it could be done differently though.

This isn't another teaser. This is the official countdown timer on the TLG website.

Is that an IR receiver in the bottom right corner?

Since we have seen this image before, it will probably have been discussed before  Can't recall exactly.

It's teasing the hell out of me. Really looking forward to this one, more so than the Porsche, for some reason.

I know I am a heretic, but for some reason, I am more excited by the rough terrain crane than the Bugatti.  We already know what to expect in a supercar offering like this, the Porsche being the center piece of evidence.  You can sort of say the same about the rough terrain crane, but as long as it’s not another miss like the 42070, I will enjoy it more than the Chiron. Let the designers prove me wrong and I will be pleasantly surprised.

Same with me. I'm interested in seeing how the Bugatti turns out, even if I'm not the target market (and I'm really not), but I am more excited for the regular sets. Even the forklift excites me more. I do hope people like the Chiron, though; it sounds really cool. Looking forward to Sariel's review too!

Looking forward to Sariel's review

Actually I was wondering how much money it would take to bribe him into letting me have early access to his review... even if nothing more than a peek at better photos. A real possible money making adventure here.... how about it?

And breaking the terms with TLG? In long term it is not worth the money you offer.

Knowing Sariel, from the way he responds over the internet, the answer is going to be - no.

I dont think your a heretic. In fact, on this forum, you might be more of the norm. I actually am not really looking forward to this set.  Judging by the engine....this set likely is not for me either.  Likely will get it, but just for the parts.

the terms with TLG

Who said anything about telling anyone anything?  Mums the word!  But seriously people need to lighten up a little. Like I would expect him to really do it? No!

I swear people on here would believe you are serious if you said you were planning to break into TLG headquarters and steal the latest Deathstar plans...

Back to the offer, however, lifetime supply of hamster food? My first born ? hamster? A habitrail condominium in the shape of Trump Tower? What will it take?

Earlier in the forum, it has been mentioned that this is the picture of the Chiron confirmed. Is that true, and if so, is there proof? It seems a little weird that this is a leaked image, knowing that Lego has been very good at eliminating any leaks for this set.

It is blurred image of 1:18 model in Photoshop, not LEGO box or something related with LEGO

I don't think, that the picture above is photoshopped diecast or real car picture, there is too much details to be removed and added beside blur to get this result: windshield reflections, interieur design, black "gaps" on body... so I am not sure actually. Beside that, the image above is coming from Brickshow.com, who for sure don't need fake hype - imo.

You know, I see the picture with the countdown, and it shows two different engines. I really hope that those are just prototypes, and Lego went with a better engine in the final model. Although, I don't any design as being final, given that there are two different engines. I hope this is an early prototype.

I think I also see a wire coming out of the potential receiver and going off picture on the right. Now I'm even more curious than before - is it actually going to be motorised? With the $450 price tag, I sure hope so.

Keep your expectation low, for comparison:

42056 Porsche - 2704 pcs / 300 € retail

42083 Bugatti - 3599 pcs / 370 € retail

895 parts for 70 € is not a bad deal at all. Conclusion: No IR, no motors. We can be happy, if the exterior design will hold up to the real one + 4WD, and there will be any technical flaw. I am also pretty sure, that the fake engine will be what we see.

Indeed, let's not try to come up with unlikely things and start speculation again. Looking at the price and part count, this will be set without PF.

In that very first announcement trailer, is there a - new - white clutch gear next to the driving ring?

It's way to blury to be 100% sure, so it oculd easily be one of these. But why put that gear next to the driving ring, this model will be huge so there should be plenty of room somewhere else for it

I don't think it is going to include the 24 tooth clutch gear, as those gears are only included in motorised models, for safety. It's probably going to be a new gear, as it is RIGHT next to the driving ring. Or maybe the same gear, just in a different colour.

Uh, there was a clutch gear in the Porsche, which wasn't motorized.
