He already has. Was 24hrs too long to wait.... TLG provide us with this great thing, (at great cost in R&D, marketing etc) and some people seem happy to s**t on their wishes. Its sad.

A bit late to the party, but I agree that the Chiron model is a worthy successor to the Porsche in the Technic "UCS" series. On several fronts, TLG has raised the bar again for these high-end sets. Still would have like to see a bit more/new functions, but hey, it's a car so I guess the options will always be limited. The brick build key with a function is a nice touch.

I really like the new gearbox part. It's exactly what you need to build a realistic motorbike gearbox. I wouldn't be surprised we will see exactly that when a new Technic motorcycle set appears. On a similar note: I am disappointed in the disk brakes though: With the integration of the snap connector, the possibilities for other applications (for example in a motorbike) are very small

BTW, the image of the complete model in the building instructions (see below) on the right doesn't do any favors for this model. This perspective really highlights the limitations of the current wheel hubs:  the position of the pivot point required the clearance around the wheels to be relatively big to give the wheels room to move, hence the big wheel arch pieces. The result is that the wheels look too small from some points of view, something which was already apparent in the Porsche.

I'm still on the fence about purchasing this set. I guess the upcoming review from @Jim or @Sariel could still convince me.

I managed to save the video, uploaded to Singapore Technic on FB

That was a stupid move, hope you're proud of yourself now. Taking advantage of someone's mistake and leaving literally nothing for the people who worked hard on this.

Yeah leaks cooled the hype down. Still cant wait to get it, but I guess for the next set of this magnitude I'll have to consider avoiding even EB.

Hmm, things are getting ridiculously serius here. It would be nice if someone with marketing background would explain how much damage the leak (only a few days before the actual release) has caused for TLG. I, for one, am buying the model because of the leak.

On the other hand, the guys asking for photos, posting photos and videos in every second post show how immature people are in general. Seriously, where's the self-discipline and how come adults don't know how to behave?

Seriously guys... can't you just wait 24 hours? I don't know, go outside, watch a movie... :look:

I'd gladly take your advice, but this is currently outside my neighbour's house:

And this is the only film playing at my local cinema...

Back on topic somewhat - Was there a unique number on the Porsche? I'd normally wait for a cheaper price, but I'm a little worried that this will fly off the shelves.

As I said in another publication, there are other photos filtered in this forum and it does not matter. your personal assessment about this if that is unnecessary.

The problem with this whole leaking thing is that if 99 people behave (by not leaking) and 1 doesn't (by leaking), then as a group, the 100 people together have leaked. What's in he best interest of the group (not leaking) is opposite to what is in the best interest of the individual (leaking). That's why there will always be leaks, and this can be beaten only in one way - don't give anything away.

There are only leaks because there have been sets in the wild before Jun 1. TLC shouldn't have shipped anything before Jun 1 if they wanted to prevent leaks. I understand they aren't happy, but there is simply no way to guarantee secrecy if you give anything away, even to people you trust.

If it's in the wild, it's in the wild. That's how things work in the internet age.
