On the top 6H selector there is only one lever which you slide side to side to access the other functions so only only function can be selected at a time.

It's funny that the Forklift 42079 has a MK IV at the back, but this crane doesn't. I've had my doubts as well about whether the letters are MK or OK.

If this set wasn't design by Markus it would be the first time since 2012 that the flagship isn't designed by either Markus or Uwe.

Aah, Olav Kroigaard makes sense. Does anyone know what will be the B-model for this crane?

It's a drilling vehicle.

I wonder what kind, and whether the supposed orange engine fanblade seen in the original leak has anything to do with it.

I have no idea either. I think the B model is gonna be at a huge scale, because it reuses the wheels from the A model. So the orange fan blade maybe too small for this. My guess is that it's gonna look kinda like this:

Functions can include outriggers, tilting arm, telescopic extension, and drill rotation. The black quadrants can be used as I-dont-know-what-to-call-them-maybe-spiral-drill-leaves at the top.

The most likely control scheme is:

The selector on the left of the 6H alow too choose to power the 6H or the gearbox on the chassis

the 6H gearbox control elevation/extension/winch both ways.

If the power run to the chassis, one gearbox control stabilisation extension, second one control turret rotation. both ways too

There's an 8-petal-flower thingy on the wheel cap. Any idea what part that might be?

Another observation: there is some kind of lever and a green light in the undercarriage, in front if the cab. Could be another function.

Sometimes I wonder if peoples are not a bit blind:tongue:

Same big dish than the 42054/42070 + a 4x4 round plate, with all "external" studs covered by 4 1x1 round tiles. And finaly a technic dish 2723.

That's right! I think I'm beginning to understand where all the parts have gone... small touches and likely a lot of gearing inside.

If it is so - and seems to be, than I think it is very lame solution.

Does not look good, does not add to reality-like appearance, does not add to function. Just trowing parts on for sake of Biggest-part-count-ever title, are we still in Lego Technic theme??

It is REAL easy to cram that many parts into a model if it has any size at all to it, and this one does.  Once you reach a certain scale, even adding small touches adds a lot of parts. I added a platform extension to my model that added three 11x7 panels to each side. So 6 parts plus a few pins and an axle and a this and a that... 150 parts later and we are done.  Now grant you I made 2 hinges, 4 locking levers and 4 stowage brackets to support the manual function of folding the platform extensions for hauling, but why add something static when you can make it another working feature? :classic: BH

No there is a 1x1 stud in trans green, above the wheel arch of the lower front wheel.

Wow, look what happens when you get busy at work for 12 hours - had to read through 6+ pages of comments.  Is it me, or are the Unimog tires significantly flattened due to vehicle weight? See rear tire, or could be just the angle of view.

No, it looks like they're a little squished. Could be the shadow, but I doubt it. That undercarriage better be well reinforced.

I just noticed that the superstructure uses the curved gear strings from the 42055 but in black.

Woah! Someone's late to the party! Don't worry, Mr. BWE man, we've saved you some sandwiches.

It is cool to have the curved racks being used for something new, though. Before hearing of this set, I wondered if we'd ever see them again. After all, Technic has had parts that were never used again after being introduced.

Think I broke the world record for using the word "see" that many times in one paragraph

Couldn't be DBG, NOoooo... had to be black...   Can you tell my base/chassis/frame color choice combo is LBG/DBG? Red and black are my Main Model color combos... at least it won't clash. What a fashion hound I am becoming :sceptic:
