suffocation Posted July 21, 2018 Posted July 21, 2018 I've always found the z24+z12 combo to produce a ton of friction. Have they produced a new z24 mould to overcome this issue? (Note that this doesn't happen with white clutch gears.) Quote
Bartybum Posted July 21, 2018 Posted July 21, 2018 (edited) @Ngoc Nguyen Can you keep an eye out for where the 58-ish white 1L liftarms go? EDIT: Never mind, just remembered that they’re not your pics Edited July 21, 2018 by Bartybum Quote

dhc6twinotter Posted July 22, 2018 Posted July 22, 2018 I'm on the fence with this set. There is no reason why a set this size couldn't have a three section boom or pendular axle. The functions just seem pretty basic to me, although I do like the multi-directions gear boxes. Too bad about all the color vomit and extra dribble. I don't really see a need for things like tool boxes and such on a technic model. That just pads the part count and jacks the price up. The crane might be my only Technic set this year, but I dunno. Maybe I'll hold off. Quote

I want Technic sets to be about the machine itself and its functions, not the trinkets that come with it. If I wanted to role play with tools then I’d buy City sets instead. Quote
Johnny1360 Posted July 22, 2018 Posted July 22, 2018 Yeah if it didn't have the tool box I might actually be able to afford it. Color vomit, moot point, it's here to stay get used to it. Quote

I hope not though because I don’t want to have millions of white pieces that are impossible to hide. I far preferred when they were DBG. Quote
Ngoc Nguyen Posted July 22, 2018 Author Posted July 22, 2018 Good 1L liftarms go to heaven. Bad 1L liftarms go everywhere. Quote
Jim Posted July 22, 2018 Posted July 22, 2018 White ones were used in the Bugatti too. Like orange 3L pins with bush. Quote
TeamThrifty Posted July 22, 2018 Posted July 22, 2018 there does seem to be new colour trends (orange 3l pins, white 1l...), but as i have hundreds of the more traditional colours, then it just offers me more choice. Just need to decide what orange means... like most people, red is the assembly points for modules or similar. grey and black for blending in... what does orange mean?! This is a deep metaphysical question. what is the meaning of orange. 42? Quote
Jim Posted July 22, 2018 Posted July 22, 2018 It must be 42 For me red was indeed for special connecting points. But nowadays TLG simply uses a single color for all of them. Edit: the Crane does have them in black too btw. Quote

pleegwat Posted July 24, 2018 Posted July 24, 2018 BWE has 669, porsche has 856. Bugatti might have more though? Quote
TeamThrifty Posted July 25, 2018 Posted July 25, 2018 Porsche was lots of steps on bodywork, suspect chiron is the same, for me the Porsche build got dull when i'd finished the chassis - bwe was enjoyable right until the end. i'm hoping 42082 is like bwe with wheels! Quote
Dylan M Posted July 25, 2018 Posted July 25, 2018 Thus anyone knows how many pcs BWE is (w/o the Dumb truck and the ORE) i think 42082 is far more parts that 42055 Quote

Nice to have you on board. If you go about this way, you need to subtract the grey panels from the 42082 as well ;-) But the dump truck will definitely have more parts than the grey panels. The 42035 - Mining Truck set has 362 parts. Quote

That's what I mean and also minus the ORE(56pcs) I hope the 42082 is more intact in the real inside and tnx for your warm welcome Edited July 25, 2018 by Dylan M Quote

How many of you saw a "step 1" that's only showing a lift arm? LOL. Quote
