Norro Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 Hi all, I present Cliffton Castle: (pic=link to gallery) deeplinks at bottom of post : ) Cliffton Castle, known locally as the 'Castle of Three Trees' (all right, there are six trees if you want to be picky...), is an outpost of the great Black Knight Empire. It serves primarily as a heavily fortified beacon post but also has a small harbour front . Its name comes from Cliffton Lodge which once dominated the clifftop before the gradually expanding fortifications displaced it. Pics of the 20 odd interiors (with some location references) can be found here. And if you're really interested, my faviorite small details are in this folder (pic=link) Please let me know what you think... I normally include a few fun details but this time I can only offer you the chance to spot two cunning Wolf Pack raiders... Thanks for looking and God Bless, Nathan ohh... a few deeplinks: street, apple seller, Wayfarer's Inn Interior, and another street. Quote

jonfett Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 Fantastic work Norro! Thats one HUGE castle and the details are so amazing! I love how you have built the BURPish structure around the base, and the main castle buildings looks great, nice motted effect. The bookcase and the drawers on the desk are great details too! Great work! :) Jon. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted June 12, 2005 Governor Posted June 12, 2005 How long did this master piece take to create, Mr Norro? Quote
chewie Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 ooo i must say that looks awsome...and as mr phes here asked how long did it take to make and how many bricks do you think you used? Quote

Its just not FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIR!!!How do you afford all this? Well... I am reliably informed by my parents that after the age of 5 I never had another toy besides lego (it adds up). And in laster years I cut grass (measured in miles in the no-mans-land of Canada) and did some other outdoor work like limbing... that added more. But mostly it is just slow and steady... My collection actually isn't that big. That MOC drains it and most of the tubs are now near empty... God Bless, Nathan Quote
Norro Posted June 12, 2005 Author Posted June 12, 2005 ooo i must say that looks awsome...and as mr phes here asked how long did it take to make and how many bricks do you think you used? First up Thanks... It took just over a month and a half... and I can only guess at the number of pieces... somewhere between 30 and 40,000 probably. God Bless, Nathan Quote

And roughly how many bricks do you think you've accumulated? Quote

I really much like all of the furniture. It is so detailed and realistic. Furniture isn't a speciality of mine... This is my first serious attempt at any detailed pieces... So I am pleased it came off! Fantastic work Norro! Though there isn't much BURP to it... ;) Thanks again and God Bless you all, Nathan Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted June 12, 2005 Governor Posted June 12, 2005 Look at all those Castle and Pirate mini-figures coexisting peacefully... It brings tears to my nose... Quote
Norro Posted June 12, 2005 Author Posted June 12, 2005 I didn't have time to write up about the shops originally, but the one pictured above is an Expedition Supply Store and the sign was my attempt at conveying a large ship in sign form... God Bless, Nathan Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted June 13, 2005 Governor Posted June 13, 2005 I'm not sure if I can see a ship in that picture! Don't spose you could take a picture of the pieces in question? Quote

Governor Mister Phes Posted June 14, 2005 Governor Posted June 14, 2005 I can see it, but at that angle its not working for me as a ship... Quote
Norro Posted June 14, 2005 Author Posted June 14, 2005 I can see it, but at that angle its not working for me as a ship... You need nautical eye sight... :-D God Bless, Nathan Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted June 15, 2005 Governor Posted June 15, 2005 Well I don't have any of that... So there goes that idea! Quote
