Hinckley Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 Who knows. The search engine can be finicky. Maybe because the title is collector's and not collector. But it should search the posts as well. Perhaps you searched a specific forum without realizing. Either way, it's all right. At least you tried. That's all that counts. *sweet* Quote
Holodoc Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 I hope it's going to be available on the Lego Shop at Home, cos I don't know if I'll be able to get it on that site... I don´t know where exactly I read about it, but it will be available on S@H as well! *y* btw. I preordered 6 copies today... X-D Quote
Johnny 5 Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 I don´t know where exactly I read about it, but it will be available on S@H as well! *y* Here. *y* Quote
darkrebellion Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 This guide will contain the star wars theme data as well? *sweet* Quote
Johnny 5 Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 This guide will contain the star wars theme data as well? *sweet* Yes all Lego sets from the last 50 years will be included. Quote
Brainbox Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 Finally I can actually post. It's been a long few weeks... I have to say, I rather like the idea of this. So it's not going to be an intense read, but it'll be nice to have what is essentially a hard-copy of Brickset. You know, for reference and the like. Hopefully it won't cost too much (although I'm getting it whatever). And I'm a sucker for reference books like this. Quote
AFOL SF Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 Here. *y* Thank you so much for this bit of information. I wonder if Amazon.Com will also carry this book? Will someone please confirm? Quote
lego townie Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 I think I'm gonna buy two copies: one for keeps and one for the bathroom... Quote
simonwillems Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 I think I'm gonna buy two copies: one for keeps and one for the bathroom... Why? Are you running short on toiletpaper? :-P Quote
lego townie Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 It will just make the passage of time and something else more enjoyable. >:-) Quote
Nikola Bathory Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 But we still already have the wonderful Brickset, a site that was (and will be)always very handy for all of us I guess.... and it updates! :-) Yes, long live brickset!! Quote
Holodoc Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 Found on eBay: click here. Yes, BUT it´s still NOT available! Quote
The Cobra Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 Oops, I should have read the German writings... I guess they say "Preorder, will ship in June." Quote
Big Pete Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 sorry to drag up an old topic, but I was just wondering if anyone knew when this will be available from S@H ? Quote
Holodoc Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 I have ordered a couple of these. They still are not shipped so far. I will let you know when they arrived. But I have no particular info about S@H. Quote
Karto Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 it'll be nice to have what is essentially a hard-copy of Brickset. I really hope not. I'm looking for a more complete source of information about sets and their origins (official, limited in time and limited to a particular area, promo, Minitalia, Dacta and maybe even Modulex...). The current available databases (brickset, bricklink and peeron) are very helpful but unfortunately far to be precise enough for collectors of older sets (80s and before). What I really hope for the future is to have an official Lego book (or range of books) with a complete set database and correct inventories. Making for example the difference between cellulose and ABS parts such as the 3471 pine tree where the early versions were made of hard ABS. I'm wondering if the Lego Company has this kind of information (it should be but then why don't they provide it)... Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 I have ordered a couple of these. They still are not shipped so far.I will let you know when they arrived. But I have no particular info about S@H. I ordered my collector's catalog about two months ago from my local bookseller. I was there last Friday and he told me that it will still take a while - but when?! Quote
simonwillems Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 I have ordered a couple of these. They still are not shipped so far.I will let you know when they arrived. Same here, I ordered two copies from the publisher Fantasia Verlag myself on the third of june. The information said that the books were available. Do we get a notification when they get shipped? So don´t rely on anything like that. Quote
Nikola Bathory Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 When you receive your copy, share your thoughts about it here, please! Quote
Svelte Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 When you receive your copy, share your thoughts about it here, please! Fantasiaverlag doesn't ship to Australia, but I ordered through Amazon.de without any problems. Amazon.de suggest a release date of 30 June but that is probably just guesswork on their behalf as it was supposed to arrive in June and it obviously hasn't so far I imagine it could be any time in the next few weeks - publishing shipping dates are rarely exact down to the day. Quote
simonwillems Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 I got an email the other day stating that the release date of the catalog is the 26th of june. Let's wait and see.... Quote
Matn Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Nice, maybe I'll order it in the vacation. And perhaps it well be selled on LEGOworld this year... Quote
