All three of these look pretty sweet! Particularly, I really dig the arched masonry on the first floor of the Car Salon, I love the Medium Azure roof of @pinioncorp's Hotel, and Brighton Pier's signage is constructed quite nicely!  :classic:

These are some of the reasons they have been selected! Just wondering: I put more than an image in a spoiler if any Staff Pick has something special (such as exceptional interior, backside or shot), do you and any others browsing this topic take a look/see them?* Because thought it would be a pity to let you miss something on Pinioncorp's hotel which may change a lot the way you look to it...  BTW, its roof is teal/dark turquoise but I do agree that it looks much more Medium Azure!

Having collected dark turquoise parts for a long while, I decided to put them to use when I realised I had a lot more than I expected. I think it came out relatively 'atealing'.

I also recommend you to take a closer look to the roof of the Car Salon, I just saw something... that you'll like quite a bit IMO...

An instant architectural favorite. I don't believe I've ever seen a modular creation that makes usage of arch brick 87559. I'm a sucker for MOCs that use that part!

See what I'm trying to say? :shrug_oh_well:

*It doesn't mean that some Staff Picks are better than the others as I only judge and select the Staff Picks from their exterior however sometimes, I come across an unexpected thing that is definitely worth highlighting...

I'm very glad you like the Staff Picks BTW! :classic:

Indeed, as I do the same for some posts of mine also. :classic:

By the way, does anyone know if there is way to retrace all your past Flickr comments on posts?

There was a convention photo of a modular creation I came across a little while ago, with no credits mentioned for the builder of the MOC. I commented on the post asking the photographer if he might know who the builder was, but haven't heard a response from him yet. And that's the thing, without receiving a response from him, I can't find the photo now, as I didn't fave it at the time.

Are there any interior shots of this one? I looked on Flickr but couldn't see any.

Me neither. The only thing I could find is some more photos of the display.

Too bad you lost it! A solution for not to lose any photos without having it is to take a screenshot with the name of the photographer in order to find it later... or copying the link and pasting it in Notes. If you know the exact day you saw it, you can also try to find it in your history... Hope you'll be able to find it again!

Maybe he didn't bother to create an interior. The other shots the display look awesome though.

I really just should have faved it. If the original poster ever then responds, he may or may not have found or known who the builder would have been, in turn citing me to his Flickr page if he did remember or discover him. If he doesn't know, oh well, at least I would have had the picture in my favorites.

Kinda sucks that you can't retrace your past comments. :sceptic:

Some of the others you posted on earlier days are pretty great as well (the London Pub, for instance)

Thanks!

Alright, I found it! Apparently, all my Flickr comments were located in the "Recent Activity" subsection, so here's the creation I commented on back on the 21st which I was wondering about:

Wow, this is a very interesting modular with a lot of NPU! This fits just right within the title of this thread! It was very worth finding it! :classic:

You make me blush @LegoModularFan . To even be mentioned among all these amazing builders is too much of an honor. Thank you.

I don't know how you do it. I look through all of these and my mind goes Lego wild because I want to build them all. Probably the greatest single collection of modular city inspiration anywhere.

You're definitely going to like the Architect's Office then!

@koalayummies, you're one of the best people I've ever seen on EB, you make amazing MOCs, your photos are very professinal, you have a great sense of humor and you're really kind! Just top notch!

  Reveal hidden contents

This is a very attractive looking MOC. I especially like the inclusion of water around the building. Didn't realise until I checked the other pics on Flickr that this is supposed to be a water Mill. One of the other pics shows the wheel at the back. It looks great.

It's almost like he started out with the intent only to do a life-sized drafting table with instruments; but somewhere along the way, he thought "heck, you know what..."
