Hey there, already two months of staff picking! I don't have so many MOCs to offer today as I used to in other special editions but four brilliant ones which are really difficult to find.

All three of today's picks are awesome but ~Unnamed by @Sheriff von Snottingham is seriously impressive.

I also love Water Palace/Palatul Apelor by Emilian

It helps that this one has been photographed next to Town Hall as it gives a good reference for the size of the building.

Oh my... How come he doesn't have Flickr pictures of the rest of this block?! This is one of my all time favorite architectural creations, and I have never seen side of it this before!!! :oh3:

I was really excited when I discovered the rest of block too!

Thank you TEN BILLION for finding this! :grin_wub:

You're very welcome! I discovered it a bit less than three months ago but never posted here so I thought it was time... :classic: I'm 99% sure you already checked the other images in his blog but I still wanted to remind you.

Wow, another inspiration topic! I didn't know that site had a forum of their own!

I was really surprised to see that there was already an Inspirational Modular thread on Brickpicker and not here!

It's wonderful how shape-wise this building's fairly simple, but the detailing on the façade is just outstanding. That curved railing is bloody beautiful. The colour scheme is pretty great as well.

Well found

I just adore this modular too, again, I discovered it a while ago but never posted here... I can't understand why nuno2500 made all his photos private on Flickr. He seemed to have some other very inspirational modulars too! I just contacted him to ask. Hope he'll make his photos public again...

Aren't they? His style reminds me a lot of @snaillad's incredible work, the scale, the number of floors, the details...

P.S. My apologies for two shoutouts in one day snaillad! Hope you won't mind.

Indeed I did, but I do hope he takes some better shots of it in the near future! :purrr:

Sorry about that. I didn't notice at first there was a fourth staff pick at the end of your post. :look:

That one also looks really great though!

Congrats to all these MOCers!

I've chosen two Winter Village themed MOCs today, they were just too amazing to pass! And isn't the title Inspirational Modulars and Non-Modular Building MOCs...

BTW, I look forward to all the reactions for the roofs...

Indeed! All three of these showcase some serious roof eye candy, especially that first one!  *

Pun intended.

Home Facade by Laura Jenkins

This is pretty nice and the fact only 2 main colours have been used is very effective on this model. The detailing around the windows and roof line is really nice too.

That looks pretty neat how they've given the awnings a curved effect above the windows.

I have a question for you @LegoModularFan. You must have looked at literally hundreds of MOCs whilst researching for this topic. If you had to choose just one, which would you say is your absolute favourite MOC of all time? And would you say your favourite Modular building is a MOC creation or one of the official Lego Modulars? :classic:

Well, it's a bit difficult to answer. I keep discovering new modulars which go to my "all time favorites" category but I have a strange obsession to like more "fresh" MOCs - the ones that have appeared on Internet a couple of hours or days ago before I discover. The one I can never forget about is that awe-inspiring House of the Inventor by @fillishave for which I feel will remain as my favorite for a couple of more months if nothing really special appears soon... :classic:

I know what you mean. That is a great MOC. I like it because even though it is a very unique style, it just looks so professionally designed that I don't think it would look out of place with the official modulars. I know that sounds strange as the style is so different but that's how I feel about it anyway. :sweet:
