This modular built by an Instagram user you cited recently is really something!  :sweet:

Yes, this was the reason for me to open an Instagram account, I absolutely needed to comment!

Well, it's a bit difficult to answer. I keep discovering new modulars which go to my "all time favorites" category but I have a strange obsession to like more "fresh" MOCs - the ones that have appeared on Internet a couple of hours or days ago before I discover. The one I can never forget about is that awe-inspiring House of the Inventor by @fillishave for which I feel will remain as my favorite for a couple of more months if nothing really special appears soon... :classic:

I am truly humbled and very grateful for your fantastic support of my build!  :classic:

I know what you mean. That is a great MOC. I like it because even though it is a very unique style, it just looks so professionally designed that I don't think it would look out of place with the official modulars. I know that sounds strange as the style is so different but that's how I feel about it anyway. :sweet:

Thank you so much for your kind words. That is really what I was aiming for; a house that was very different but somehow would still "work" together with other houses. The "odd house on the hill"-type of house that's always been there and where changes by time happen all around it but somehow doesn't seem to affect this particular house. Perhaps a bit pretentious description but I hope you understand what I mean

Friendly Bakery by Allan Corbeil

The fuchsia/orange awnings on this building are an interesting contrast to the more muted masonry.

~C. R. Mabley Mansion by Jim Garrett

Think this is my favourite of today's picks. I have a bit of soft spot for any moc buildings that feature trees. :sweet: Not sure why but I think adding a tree helps to give some organic shaping and contrasts well with the square blocky nature of buildings.

If I ever make any other mocs I would definitely like to have a go at featuring a tree or two.

By the way @LegoModularFan congrats on reaching the 500 posts milestone. :excited:

Nice to see you again @koalayummies! I hope you'll start to highlight modulars as well!

What?! Do you no longer enjoy making MOCs? That would be really sad. I hope you didn't mean that... :look:

No I didn't mean that to sound as if I won't be making any more mocs. I thoroughly enjoyed designing my first two especially the latest pub design was a lot of fun.

I do have ideas for future models so hopefully I will get round to starting on another one soon. :sweet:

Looking forward to it! Your Pub was pretty cool, so I'm quite confident your style will unravel naturally from there on. Blue for a modular is always a daring choice, so it's definitely applauded from my part!

Here's an interview by The Brothers Brick blog with one of my favorite architectural builders, Jeff Friesen from Instagram, who's microscale cityscape creations were featured on the blog as 2017's Creation of the Year! :classic:

Wow, I love these two! The aptly named Root Canal is extraordinary in its eclectic spectrum of colors, while the second one has a great roof with nicely complementing Sand Green shutters!
